Hello everyone!

I was wondering... Despite being saturated, is the Print on Demand still profitable in your opinion?

Thank you for your input!

Sure thing. As long as you have a great idea, it'll always be profitable.

If you use POD to build a brand, then in short term there is zero or low profits, but in a year or two it could become a massive brand. The advantage you have here is that there are just a handful of brands that started with a POD model and are now a proper brand like the big boys. One such I can think of is GearBunch. The guy still does POD and banking millions in revenue. I'm from India and there's a brand that started with POD model a few years ago called Bewakoof. This one is HUGE now. Almost every other college student has either bought from them or know about them.

The advantage with POD of course is that you won't be stuck with money locked in unsold inventory. But the success really depends almost completely on how efficient your supplier is. Most suppliers take 48 to 72 hours to ship out orders. If you can find someone who ships out in 24 hours - it's magic ❤️

I suggest you find a POD supplier close to your home, so you could monitor the work and these guys are more helpful when you meet them personally. As days go by, it transitions from a supplier-client relationship to partners doing business where they are giving you better rates for bulk, faster delivery times and 30-60 days payment terms.

Yes as long you have great ideas and great design skills

Stop thinking that something is saturated before you even try to do it. Seems like you're launching your business on failure.

See by yourself.
