Is paying a VPS with a GPU worth a 24/7 streaming?

I want to stream 24/7 on YouTube, I have two video generator softwares. One doesn't require a GPU and is pretty fast but results in a much lower quality and requires me to study the inner workings which is taking a long time as the code is not commented at all. The other one requires a GPU, but an rtx 1080 (mobile) is not fast enough to prevent buffering in the stream, I think a 3080 would be sufficient, tho I would like to use a 4090 to be safe.

I noticed that a VPS w/ GPU costs around 200+/month, considering that (I believe) the stream could get 1.5k viewers a day (if lucky), I wonder if paying a high price for a VPS due to the GPU would ever be worth the earnings from the stream. What do you think?

And more importantly, What softwares are you using?

A 4090 wouldn't run you at $200 - try double that bare minimum.

I used to run a 4090 24 GB machine with TensorDock, for TensorML - that costed me $290ish a month.

Also, how are you monetizing the stream? 1.5k viewers a day doesn't sound like much. Does a simple cost-benefit show that you're profitable?

The CPU one uses TensorFlow 2.0, can generate 20 seconds of content in 3 seconds with an intel core i7.
The GPU one uses (Py)Torch 2.0.1 built with CUDA 11.8, a 1080 (mobile) (forgot how many GBs but probably 16) can generate 1 second of content in 2-3 seconds.

No, I haven't calculated any cost-benefit cause I have no idea how much a YT stream makes.

Alright - so the last bit concerns me a bit. Live Streaming occurs for a variety of reasons - mostly marketing.

So with a $300ish investment a month + your time - I am considering what you're looking at achieving.

What exactly will you be generating? Is there a market for it? Is there a way for you to build a proof of concept and test this out?

I said there may be 1.5k views a day because it'd be something like the LofiGirl 24/7 streaming. Now that I see it again I notice it has about 35k actually.

EDIT: I just checked the "LofiGirl" username on a youtube earnings estimator website and it shows it has 1mln views a day (not sure why) and a minimum of $256 daily earnings. I suppose that to reach such an audience the channel must be extremely popular tho.

But why do you need a video generator for that?

ChilledCow (LofiGirl) and others don't use video generation and expensive GPU.

It's merely a small clip that is set to loop in something like Streamlabs or OBS.

It's a different kind of generated content, it still requires AI tho.
I wonder how easy/hard it is to get as much views per day as LofiGirl does.
