Hey guys,

I’ve got a quick question for those still active in the Parasite SEO game.

So basically, from late May until around September, I was completely out of SEO — just came back recently and noticed that a lot has changed.

Many of the go-to Parasite domains (Medium, Outlook India, Forbes India, etc.) either stopped indexing, purged old casino/affiliate listicles, or closed their doors to new paid placements altogether.

From what I’ve gathered, this seems to be connected to the June 2024 Google Spam Update, especially the part targeting “site reputation abuse.”

Now I’m wondering — what’s your take on the future of Parasite SEO for casino / iGaming affiliate content?
Are you guys still seeing results from these kinds of placements, or is the whole vertical basically dead for now?

Would love to hear your experiences post-update - what’s still working, what’s not, and where you see things heading next.

It changes all the time as different parasite sites get on Google's naughty list, but others pop up and don't get coal in their stockings.

And in 3 months, those will end up on the naughty list and others will pop up.

It's just part of the Google Wack-A-Mole game.

No, Parasite SEO is not dying, but it is evolving and becoming significantly more difficult and risky to execute successfully.

Yeah, the update definitely changed things. Most big parasite sites tightened rules or stopped indexing affiliate content. It’s not completely dead, but way less stable now — short-term boosts still happen, just riskier and harder to sustain.

What kind of results are you seeing lately?

Parasite seo isn’t dead, but it’s harder now big sites cleaned up after google’s 2024 update, so results depend on using smaller or niche platforms and making posts look natural, It still works just not as easy as before.

Parasite SEO is definitely getting harder. Some placements still work but the recent updates have really limited what’s viable. Interested to hear what’s still performing for others

The other problem is a budget, those sites that still accepting parasite in our niche, lost like 50-90% of it`s traffic but still asking same price, honetsly I dont know what to do, probably its time to go to B2B SAAS:(

You should be constantly scraping for new parasites and monitoring current parasites. You’ll know parasite seo is not dead if you look for new ones ranking.

Many things can be a parasite if you do keyword research properly.

Google “payday loans” and see if there’s an affiliate parasite ranking. You won’t find one.

Point is it’s likely you’re trying to rank for things that’s impossible to rank for with parasite SEO, like it’s 2014 again. I know this because I am very good at keyword research and I deploy parasites to rank for all the easy keywords in my niche. Sometimes I just shotgun parasites to see what the search intent is. It’s not always easy to determine what Google will rank.

Building on that you also need to understand search intent. Different parasites can rank for different things. If the search intent would warrant discussion results then use Reddit. If the search intent would warrant pictures use instagram.

Be creative. Get experience. Don’t just try once or twice and say something is dead. Most of all, be realistic in your approach.

Yeah, I get what you mean even the sites that still accept parasite seo are asking the same rates, but their traffic is way lower now. It’s tough to justify the budget. switching to B2B SaaS or other safer methods might be the smarter move for steady results.

Parasite SEO isn’t dead, but it’s way harder now. After the 2024 spam update, most big platforms cleaned up or stopped taking casino posts. Some sites still work, but indexing is slower and the window is smaller. Right now, only niche-relevant or smaller trusted publishers seem to give results. The old mass-parasite style is basically gone. You need smarter placements and cleaner content. I think you may understand this!

Guys are making a killing with reddit as parasite, so I don't think it's dead.

Parasite seo for igaming isnt fully dead, but its risky now. Big sites are cracking down after google's reputation update.

You can't expect any domain to be active lifetime and serve parasite SEO, this always changes.

Some domains are always active, but brands, come on.

Most basic research of your keywords can give you all answers in 5 mins.

You are one lazy dude. No help for you.

parasite still breathes, just quieter. june update nuked easy embeds + cheap listicles. u gotta pivot to aged subdomains, niche media w mixed content, and rotate hosts fast. casino links need cloak layers + legit news angle now. brute posting = instant deindex.

Parasite seo is still delivering results for iGaming on trusted sites. Using high quality placements and smart strategies seems to work well even after the update.

Parasite SEO is not dying, on the contrary, it is prospering. All these are based on one thing: whether you can get good webshells or not. We have bought a lot online, but these on sell normally won't last long. That's why it put big pressure on your webshell acquiring skill.

Parasite SEO still works, but it's more difficult to do now. I still have some working parasites.

Mate you are committing the first rookie mistake by listing typical assumed parasite hosts, you can never rely on that, if you do, you're free loading and contributing to the reseller mentality which accelerates the degradation of the hosts patience.

Parasite seo is all good and great you just have to be aware it's exploiting a window of opportunity and it should only be one rail of your seo strategy, there's no long term winners in Parasite seo. It's something that you do on the side while growing your brand concurrently with white hat efforts.

Window of opportunity, get the best out of it and be creative. If you need to ask which outlets are good, you have some homework to do.

it's not dead, but i would say it became more dangerous, i personaly wouldn't rely on this kind of seo

Parasite SEO isn’t dead, but it’s riskier now temporary wins still happen, yet long-term success needs cleaner strategies and real value.
