Is Local listing increase Keyword Ranking on Google?

Hi, I was doing some local listing for different clients on up-work. Now want to start on fiver. You can see my GIG here . The Clients from up-work are very satisfied about the result. But one thing i don't understand, why its more effective then web 2.0? One more thing guys, any suggestion how to rank a high difficulty keyword on google using white hat? Thank you guys
