It is worth hiring if you are not one who knows how to rank a site as you would be spinning your wheels without the proper knowledge or a professional to help you out.

If you dont know anything about SEO then its highly recommanded to contact seo "experts", but be careful. Except if you buy from BHW, since all sellers here are verified before selling, there is no problem normally.

Just make sure to see some of their previous projects before. You can easy call yourself an expert, but not being very good in some areas.

I'm pretty sure we can be jack of all trade, but master of none. Furthermore, if you are serious about a business, you can't do everything yourself. Imagine if you are a business owner, and you have to run the bookeeping, hire new people, and don't tell me that you would like to clean the toilet just to save a couple of bucks? I'm sure you can do that, but economically wise and time saving point of view- they just aren't worth it.
If you have the resources, always outsource to the right people, and they should be able to get the job done perfectly, and that leaves you time to do better stuff, such as generating resources/revenue, etc. Without money, I doubt any business would thrive.

It depends on the level of knowledge you have link building. If you can do it yourself, then it should no longer be a service you should be paying for. But if you need urgent results from the experts in such, then I suggest you invest your money in a good one.
