also correct me if I wrong here,I have read the Peter Spaepen manual (20110-2012) and he favor the Thesis /DIY Theme.
When I look in the view source of wordpress themes, first it come the meta tags , than other code, third party backlinks and whatever......
after then very deep below at line 40-60, the content begins. DIY and Thesis themes are better coded to handle this issue.

So with that I have in my mind, that the google bot will not crawl your content first with that code, it is not possible, the content is to deep below.
Thats the cause why some themes or html pages rank better because the content and title is on top of the source code, not deep below of any third party backlinks or sidebars, plugin code and whatever.

I think the content must be on top of the source code, than a wordpress page will load super fast and rank well.
But I do not know how to do that.

Tip or guide will be helpful for most os us to handle this issue.

I can not believe that google will rank such a website on top when the bot not find the content of the page in the code.

I prefer wordpress - a lot of plugin. however, no exist evidence that html is worse perceived than wordpress

What people don't understand is that SEO is much more than installing yoast' plugin and doing some on-page. Matt Cutts once said in an interview, that Google LOVES Wordpress, just because it does 90% of the technical aspects that their search engine wants. If you have a plain html website, you're starting from 0%.

Damn, just spent the last 6 weeks on a html site. A lot of work alright. I was orignally going to use a wordpress theme but seen that every site on the first page in my niche was built on html, so thought it might be a ranking factor. Also I didn't like been restricted to wordpress when the themes are more expensive. I used a responsive template and cutomized the hell out of it.

For my articles I just created a new page on an old wordpress site and used the yoast plugin to optimize them with keyword density etc. Almost finished and pretty happy with design and loading speeds. Have a month on Moz and that has shown me a few things I need to look at. Learned a lot about different languages along the way too so I don't think it was a waste of my time. I will see if I can get it to rank before I build my next site without wordpress.

Also there is not much different between pure html page and a wesbite build on wordpress to rank in google seo serps?

well, I do prefer DIY themes. Check this out: I had a client who was using a wordpress premium theme and he was ranking page 7 on google. His competitor on 1st page. They had like the same type of content, backlinks very similar sites. I recoded his theme for Joomla (ofc u can do that for wordpress too) Less useless plugins scripts etc. Site was build exactly as the wp theme he bought and he ranked 1st page on google in no time without any SEO. So my guess is google prefers custom made themes cuz they dont have as many erros. You can check that with W3C Validator. After all it’s just a matter of preferences and use what you’re comfortable with. Peace out

From Google's perspective it doesn't matter. They're not reading your PHP, they're just indexing whatever is output to HTML. If you're inexperienced building websites and even if you're experienced WordPress offers a very strong platform to build off of for most content websites, but it's not "preferred" because it's WordPress.
