Is it still worth it?

I have a fairly solid background in developing Android apps, but last time I did that was about a year ago (changed jobs). I had some websites for passive income online, but they require constant maintenance, so I sold them out. I now have a decent bit of money I am ready to invest.


Is it still worth to publish apps/games on Google play store to get AdMob (or other ad-network) revenue? or is it super saturated? I live in a small country, which is obsessed with gaming, and there is currently not much of a market or competition taking place. I want to buy my own developer account because all the ones I used before didn't belong to me. Is this still worth it? Thinking of using ads to promote the apps in that specific region.

I think it depends on your idea. This year I created 4 app, but only 1 app have income. Honestly user of app not related to your country. You can create an app for all country in the world.
