Is it still useful to write blog in my website?

Hi, as a newbie, I always want to ask questions about anything I have no idea. Recently, I have start my blog writing plan. Yes, the www.xxxx.com is my website and I try to sell some products to gain profits. The blog is built under www.xxxx.com/blog where I publish my posts. The articles are original and I post one article each day. Until now, it has been last for 1 month.

So the question is, how do you think it. Is it still useful to attract traffic or boost GoooogleRank?

Hi, generally you need good content to have active users on your site, to have good rates and this will increase your google ranking. I think it is a must have to create good and unique content with a blog system or whatever.
 
Yes it's still important for seo purposes for; activity (to show search engines your site is active and up to date), quality content (to attract visitors), time on site (people stay on your site to read the content), etc. :-)

A good and unique content is always good for website ranking. If you change your website content, It shows up your activity on Google.
 
Having a blog site attracts additional customers because of added exposure to having more links in search engines. Make sure that the articles you will write is related to the products you are selling so the articles are worthy to be published on your blog.
 
A great content will always boost your rankings. A virtual assistant can help you research and find great information as well as improve your site.
 
People used to have a huge hard on for obsessively adding blog pages to their site. Lately, the last few years, I've seen less random sites' blog pages ranking for meaningful keywords. Frankly I feel your time is better spend adding more landing pages and non-blog pages to your site. Simply slopping out your random thoughts on XYZ and then saving it as post #983 of your site.com/blog is hardly as helpful as you think... only exception being if your blog actually has active followers.

Thanks for you reply. Yes. I am trying to find out the truth that whether it is useful to build a blog under my product website. Recently, I upload original and high quality articles on my blog and see if there is positive impact to my product website.

I have researched some product website, they are writing and uploading posts in their blogs, like www.productwebsite.com/blog. I think it may help. But not for traffic but the PR of their product website

Just for a minute forget that you're on SEO forum and think:
- What will do the visitor if he hesitates before buying?
- Where will he find more information about your product?

Now back to the SEO point and think:
- How can you make the visitor stay longer on your website?
- How can you easily get ranked for easy keywords that can drive you some traffic?

So... you probably need blog in 2017. ;)

Quality Content in blogs related with your products will be an added advantage always!
 
For sure! If optimized with keywords the blog will be getting visitors. As it is your target audience they will explore your website to learn your products and your brand.
Besides, Google loves websites with regular content updates so a blog is a must.
