Is it possible to claim facebook group with no admins?

There is an FB group that's no longer active (last post was 2018, new post will subject to admins approval)

No active admins/mods listed, however previous admin can still be reached by contacting phone number in some of his post

He said FB one day suddenly disabled his account (back in 2019). He never invited anyone as additional admin, not even mods. And no way to recover that disabled account. Now, he don't care anymore. Anyone could take control of that group if they could

So, is it possible to claim ownership of that group? Anyone have successfully done this before?

That's the beauty of Reddit you can do that but for Facebook not so sure, hope someone sheds more light on that.

To claim the admin role:

1. From your Feed, click Groups in the left menu and select your group. If you can't see Groups, click See more.
2. Click More below your group's cover photo, then click Members.
3. Click Become admin below Admins & Moderators.
4. Click Confirm.

Bear in mind that:

• Only one admin spot can be claimed. Once the creator has left the group, creator status can't be granted to an admin or moderator.
• If a group has no admins, Facebook may suggest that some members become an admin based on many signals. Signals include their current level of participation and whether they are an admin of any other Facebook groups. Facebook may also archive the group if there are no admins for a while.
• If you can't claim the admin role in a group, it may be because there are moderators or other people have recently been invited to become an admin.

Unfortunately that official solution has no practical value

As normal member, we can't possibly knowing to whom the invites sent (if it sent to any)
I've tried to reach out the oldest member i could find there (he joined ~1 month after group is established), with dozen of group post history (indicating he was an active member)

And he didn't find that "become an admin" button

Be active in the group, an make sure you're also an admin in another fb group since those two are requirements for the process of admin pick from the top post

if this can happen this will be goldmine

but i think facebook have no option for that
