Is it possible to be punished by Google with complaint?

Hi collegues, is it possible to be punished by Google by complaint from anyone?
In other words I have an adult website and users shared my content regularly to their Pinterest where adult is prohibited. Anyway I received lots of traffic from them those months. But in one day Pinterest just killed them all. Ok, I thought, it was a good wave and I still have my organic traffic. But within a week I lost a half of my organic traffic! And then I began to meditate: can Pinterest just make a complaint to Google accusing me of spamming?
