Hello,

I have 2 sites one of them is called www.mysite.com is the main site and the other one is called www.mysite2.com, basically the second website is just a welcome cover page with an Enter Website Buttom that redirects you to www.mysite.com the main site, also the keywords that I am trying to rank are "mysite2" that is on the cover domain. Since that website it has only 2 html documents 1 for the cover and the other one for reciprocal links and I am trying to rank domain keyword. My main question is if what I am doing is consider black hat SEO and if Google can penalize my cover domain or my main domain or both???

Also with new Google updates like panda or penguin do they affect me?

Can any SEO expert please iluminate me, since I don't want to have trouble with my SEO on my main domain, let me know if I explain right myself and understand me.

Cheers!

just for making a cover site google will not penalize any of your sites, if you start building spammy links, google will penalize cover domain and might reduce the authority of the main website.
if you build the links right plus quality content google won't do anything bad to you.
one more thing, since the emd update it has a very small effect to rank a website.
and one more - 2 html docs aren't gonna be good :) write more content make it seem like a legit website not just cover page

Hello Berkell,

First of all thanks for the reply, just need these questions to ask so, its clear to me:

1) What you mean with spammy links? Links made with xrummer, massive links for example? I don't have those the links I have mostly are reciprocal from other adult directories.

2) Since you tell me to create good content, I was thinking of creating a blog in wordpress and create content like 1 post with a link or 2 to the main site every 2 weeks for example and delete de cover page, that would make it a legit page and would be easier to rank the blog than a cover page right?

3) Just one question does having the keyword I want to rank help on the domain? and if for example I want to rank on Google.com (US) is better to have a .com domain or if I want to rank on Google.es (Spain) is better to have a .es domain? Do I have the concepts right?

Cheers!

hi codeman :)

1. yes, i mean links made with xrumer, scrapebox and stuff. I'm in adult business too :) - escort agency to be exact
2. yes you are right. if you use good spinning software(70% unique at least) you can use same article on web 2.0 properties(will give you a massive rank boost, but don't expect wonders straight away)
3. that's kinda right.. but google will give different results depending on the ip of the visitor. e.g. if someone is from spain, and searching for something on google.com. yoursite.es will still rank good.

It's extremely unlikely that your welcome website will even rank. Google looks for usability as a high ranking factor. Especially if your welcome page is only a button, and has almost no real content, it won't rank.

work manually google will not penalized your site i m garunted

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!SEO EXPERT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow thanks a lot guys, very valuable info from all of you, specially Berkell thanks a lot for dedicating your time on my questions, just one last question to close this thread:

I got both Cover page and Main Site on the same server what that means same IP does that matter at all?

Cheers!

not a must but it's preferred to keep your main site on a seperate ip from the sites you might use spammy links.

but not only that - any good black hat seo-er won't even visit the spammy site from the same ip, you would use seperate analytics account, and visit from vpn. The reason - google tends to connect the sites, so if it penilizes one, it will most probable affect the money site too, especially if they are on the same server.

one last thing, i think it's too much but some people even keep the money site on different hosts, not just different ips. This method is a must if you have 2 or more authority sites and planning to grid-lock the google

not a great idea to post your real URL... you never know who is in your niche here. I've hard horror stories, FYI.

In my opinion as long as you don't spam links and do some really dodgy stuff you will be fine, end of.
