Is It bad to have 2 backlinks from the same site?

Hi,

I have a question regarding my backlinks. About a year ago I acquired a couple of backlinks from different sites, but I've done the mistake to point them to some of my articles that "ARE NOT MONEY PAGES".

So I would like to rectify this by actually acquiring new guest posts backlinks from the same sites, only this time they will point to my new money pages.

So my question is, knowing that I already have prior backlinks, will it be better than I delete my old backlinks so I can add the new ones to get all the juice from those websites?

If I have 2 backlinks coming from the same domain, won't that divide the link juice?

It depends on the following factors (among others)
1) the quality of the site linking to you
2) the niche relevance of the site
3) if different pages link to you
4) if the site links to different pages on your site
5) anchor text of the links

Well, the quality of the site and its niche relevance are good because I picked them based on those criteria.

As to the other requirements regarding the pages linking to me, well I wrote myself the guest post for them that is related to my niche with making sure that the anchor text is relevant too.

So knowing that their site is good, they are ranking for some keywords, they have strong backlinks, and I get to choose the article I post, I still want to acquire a new backlink from them to an article of mine that actually generate money.

So your reply didn't answer my question, the old 1 backlink from them links to one of my pages, should I request its removal? Will that make the link juice of my new backlink stronger?

if you can replace the pages where those backlinks point to, do it! It might take a few weeks for google to detect the new changes but when they do they will direct the link juice to the right pages. If you can't replace those pages, though... I would get backlinks from different sites.
 
It doesn't matter if its just random backlink.
If you have 300 website PBN and will create 2 backlinks from each PBN, well then it will llook shady
 
We don't know EXACTLY what would happen, it may well dilute the link juice, but at least you have now.

It's not PBN. Just a a couple of sites that i single-handedly outreached to them, so in that case, will it still look shady if i take a backlink down and put another? Any impact that can have on the link juice?

i was going to say the same thing. His reply did not answer your question. It is more like copy and pasting some random answers.

@kurosaki4d - to answer your question: no it does not hurt. I would not delete the old links. create new guest posts and link them to your money pages. i have done this many times and so far have not had any issues with not being in the top position.

also, make sure you create links from those old pages that you got links from, to your current money pages. let the link juice flow to your money page.

Two backlinks from same sites will not be bad for your site. But it will be less effective if you have have more number of backlinks. I think it will divide the link juice.

i would never change any existing backlinks.
 
Is It bad to have 2 backlinks from the same site? No, not at all, if the site is a genuine site.

For the new one you are talking about get the link from a different page and direct it to your money page.


Provided you don't have 90% of your links coming from that same site, there's no problems.

Don't remove existing links if they are not causing issues.

2 Links from the same site is not actually bad, its less effective!
 
According to me, there is nothing bad to get more than 1 backlink from the same website.
Indeed, it is good task to get backlinks like this. There are some benefits of it.

1. Increases the ‘authority’ of your pages
2. Get links to more pages
3. Get more referral traffic
4. Build links more easily
