Just added a new payment card to a fresh BM - auto-disabled within minutes.
This happens more often now or am I just unlucky?
What tricks are you using to pass payment setup safely?

Check whether your payment card is on Facebook’s “blacklist” by trying to add it to another personal ad account.
If the card works normally, the issue may lie with your Business Manager (BM). If the BM is too new, Facebook might consider it a fake or untrustworthy account, leading to review or restriction.

Try Use an older BM with a stable activity history, or spend some time running ads on a personal ad account before adding it to the BM

This often means the system flagged the account for suspicious or high-risk payment activity (such as a new payment method on a fresh account) or a billing/payment method issue (expired/unsupported card, currency mismatch) that triggered the suspension.
You’ll want to check the card validity, ensure billing details match, review account status via Account Quality, and potentially submit an appeal to Facebook.

Try using a card that’s been active for a while and matches your business location. New BMs often get flagged if everything looks too “fresh.”

You should try using an older BM with the same card as new BMs get flagged easily.

Not bad luck — Meta flags a risk signal when a new card / new BM appears and starts running. Cards are immediately disabled usually because: card info (name/address) doesn't match, card has been used for many new BMs, or bank blocks international transactions. Meta automatically sandboxes to avoid chargeback / fraud.

Your card is a new card or a card of unknown origin, added to many accounts or BM
or it is also possible that your BM has just been created and you have used it (should be used within 1 hour of creating an account or BM)

Have you tried using a virtual card linked to a long standing account? It sometimes slips through the initial checks.

with a new BM like this, you should not add a card like that because it is not trustworthy enough. in my opinion, you should use a card with clear KYC, matching billing information and if possible, you should use the old BM to avoid similar situations

Currently there is such a situation, accounts that are spending steadily suddenly have their payment methods disabled, quite a headache.

If the information on your payment card (such as name, address) doesn't match your Facebook account information, the card may be disabled.

You are not unlucky. Facebook's mechanism is very clear. Anything newly created but with abnormal behavior will be easily banned. BM or account are no exception.

New cards on fresh BMs are getting flagged super fast lately

You're not unlucky – it's very common right now.

The safest trick is to make your new profile look as real as possible before adding the card.

Simple Steps:
  1. Use a clean, residential proxy. (This is the most important part.)
  2. Warm up the profile: Let it sit for a day, then do some random browsing.
  3. Make sure the card details match the profile name and address exactly.
  4. Use a card that hasn't been used on other banned accounts.
This makes it seem like a real person is adding a card, not a bot.

This is a normal practice, you just need to have several payment cards, it happens that Facebook stops linking one of the cards.

After adding payment, I will add a small fund of about $10 to create credibility with Facebook. You can try it, my rate is 100%, Visa card

Yes, Facebook is currently automatically disabling new payment methods

Yes facebook is auto disabling new payment methods more often due to stricter fraud checks

Yeah, this happens a lot now. Fresh BMs can’t handle a new card right away. I usually warm things up a bit first, then add the card slowly. Doing it too fast almost always gets it disabled.
