Hello,

Back in 2011 I used to do SEO by looking for auto-approve and non spammed high PR blog links and comment on them.

Now, all the blogs either made it moderated or just block putting links in comments.

Is that thing working still? And HOW?

(Some people still offer such service in the marketplace!)

Thanks.

Not too much. Auto-spammers ruined it. When I get over 200 spam comments a day to a moderated commenting system, I want to just stop accepting comments period. Besides, the social media 'like' and 'tweet' is quickly replacing the comment.

Yes, but point it to your Web 2.0's (T1) sites if you're going to still do it.

No, commenting doesnt work. Backlinking doesnt work. Actually, SEO in general doesnt work. SEO is dead. Get out while you still can!

I really don't see a problem with blog comments... most of them are nofollow but I think if you have a few comments on moderated related blogs it would only help. You get a few visitors, a nofollow link and add to link diversity.

Comments on spammed sites don't work at all. However, you may comment by hands on high authority related sites. Its better to use comments only for anchor diversification. Use quality contextual links from authority sites instead.

There are plenty of places to leave blog comments these days. Personally I wouldn't bother setting loose scrapebox to auto comment on auto approve blogs. Anywhere that there is an auto approve blog, there are tons of spammy garbage links. I wouldn't want links to my sites at those websites.
I am not sure why it is so hard for people to take a couple minutes and write out their comment spam in proper English? Use scrapebox to find high quality blogs to comment on and take a minute to write a comment that at least makes sense. You can then get links anywhere you want.

Blog comments for SEO do still work as long as they are not no-follow links and the pages where they are placed haven't been spammed. However, they don't hold much value like they used to.

If you are going to incorporate blog commenting into your strategy, focus on relevant blogs. the downside to this is that most, if not all, will be nofollow blogs.

No, Blog comment methods are now dead , But Manual methods are still working

Yes it works, though not for ranking your site but for getting referral traffic from the comment. ;)

Free traffic from free methods ;)

Do you send that traffic to your Web 2.0's or main site?

Or do you pretty much just send garbage spam links to your T1?

Do bookmarking as Tire 2 for web 2.0 properties. Not good to do for your money site.

Blog commenting is only good on really popular blogs which might get you a bit of traffic but its not going to do anything for improving your rankings.

Dont focus much on do follow or no follow. If you make all do follow comments, thats a red flag for Google.

You can use for backlinks tier 2. Never use on your main site. Because your ip will be on the mark with spam. And making your website index decreased

Yes blog is still in SEO but try to domain authority is good content is unique links is given or not

I think they do work stil, but on niche related sites, and with good authority with Google

Dear,
Blog comments are still working. But the thing that makes its working effective is its attributes that it must be manual, ********. relevant, organic and on high PR higher authority sites. If it fulfills the above criteria then there would be no argument that whether it work or not?
