It is a serious question, is BLACKHAT SEO dying out slowly? Since begining of this year (2017) its taking even longer than before to see the impact of backlinks and mostly the alghoritms catch up on everything, I'm serious, buying links still works but you have to spend so much $$$ to even move and to get to top 5 is costing enormous amounts of money (for medium - low competition keywords)

Seriously, even low comp keywords are taking soooo long to see any effect and its getting tougher and tougher soon it will come to the point that it will be too expensive to even move to 2nd page and not profitable anymore, which of course is the point of all this.

Google adwords taking so many spaces on 1st page that is it becoming ridicilous, seriously by end of 2018 BLACKHAT SEO might get too expensive except enormous agencies with clients with deep pockets.

What are your thought, seriously Im asking this, don't troll ffs.

Whitehat still works and will work in future, but earning some serious $$ is going to take you eternity.

If it is an algorithm, it can be gamed. That should sum it up.

Traditional "Blackhat SEO" methods might not be as effective, but something else might come up due to the changes.

Google is a business who are just driven by market domination and profits.
Why let people make money from you when you can sell and make more money yourself ?

You can imagine that certain keywords will end up as 8 paid ads and 2 organic spaces on Page 1 in the future.

PS, PBNs are dead and don't work = I still see this most weeks.

I think it's getting more important to evaluate your product niche. A friend of mine built a niche side with hardly 4000 words of content on the whole site. He built a few links in forums and got two (not very strong) links from my pbn and outranks wikipedia now on rank one.
We discovered this recently after two months, where we thought the project isn't worth the time.

I don't agree. It all depends on what niche you are working on and how much you got power to dominate. It's a game. In my point of view there is no point even bother with whitehat seo ? What really is it ? lol ?
Following web masters guidelines? Just look up your competitor sites and you will see how many of them really follow webmaster guidance aka so called whitehat. I used to use scrapebox for blog comment blasting but now for scraping and all the other things. People say scrapebox died nah ...i guess they are not just capable how to use and what kind of things it can be done ? That is exactly like similar to this question. I am on multiple niches and all i do is testing different strategies and if something works i do apply to my money site.

Google has been increasing indexing time ratio often..that being said it doesn't mean its no way to rank..Also SEO changes it's like our life... I have seen many failur people and claiming its hard to win seo game ....today also some people saying while others getting great results with seo.

I am spending over $400 for all the captchas , proxies , serengines , gsa ser servers etc and i am earning 700% ROI along with few sites....so i can't say its not a worth shot.

I don't like FB or others...but i like to rank fb fan pages

Follow/ spyt test and apply.

SEO or IM not for lazy people or hypers :) Work hard.

Cheers!

Blackhat works. Yes, still it is working well. The question is, how experience you do have and how well you could implement them.
That's all.

Competition is growthing that's why it is harder to rank high.

That's why we should do our niche research and keyword research before we jump into it. When choosing a niche, you should consider the traffic generation method that you are going to use.
Ex. If your main traffic source is google, then you need to analyze the competition and decide its suitable or not. If it's paid, then you should think about PPC costs, FB ad costs etc.

Well said :D It's all about competition.

Guys I was talking about strictly Blackhat (aka buying backlinks) not PPC campaigns or social medias, strictly about buying backlinks to gain yourself higher rankings with each month passing by blazing fast its getting tougher and tougher with new updates rolling out soon to be on daily basis, I wouldnt be surprise if within 5 years the AI will completely take control over alghoritms and update them as it sees fit, its google afterall they have unlimited amount of money so yea.. its possible

What im trying to say is.. Golden days of SEO are over sadly for most

Regarding prices - SEO is a marketing channel, and there is no reason it should cost less than traditional advertising, so IMHO on the long range the prices will even out.

Regarding death of SEO:
a lot of advertisement + bad product = exponential decay
a little advertisement + good product = exponential growth

Black hat SEO is no different, it follows the same set of rules.

Dont get me wrong guys, Im still ranking and steady increasing positions(althought its fukin slow) and im still buying links because I have no funds to build my own pbn, but I can see blackhat seo dying in 2-3 years completely

You are exactly correct.

It has been pay to play for the past few years but now it is becoming a VERY expensive pay to play system.

We forget that for years people have milked organic google without having to pay a penny.

Google is a business and will milk it as much as possible with ads.

I work with very wealthy clients who use local seo to make serious serious money. paying me a few thousand a month on retainer for backlinks is not much when just ONE sale means hundreds of dollars of profit.

What you are really seeing is the erosion of easy, highly saturated marketing like affiliate marketing, adsense etc as profit margins were ALWAYS thin but you didn't have to pay for organic search rankings.

Now you do.

That simple :)

No Blackhat is not dying out.
It can be harder and more expensive depending on niche but will still be around for the foreseeable future.

Today is the easiest day to start SEO basically, because everyday SEO is getting harder.
However, getting harder is part of the game, you shuold remember that it is getting harder for EVERYONE and not just YOU.

Answers already got above posts :) .

SEO is everygreen. So black hat is ever green,

Robbing a bank is possible and still people do. Like it used it. Bad never ends plus good never ends :)

Choose only niches where you belive you can dominate or skip
