Hello everyone,
I'm not new to BHW however I am new to posting. I recently found interest in selling products on Amazon. (talk about being late to the ball game-I feel like I showed up in the 9th inning) I've watched hours of videos on YouTube and spent money on 3rd party researching tools convincing and motivating myself to believe this is the life changing solution! Fast forward, after weeks of product research I found two products that fit every criteria if every YouTuber!! I didn't have a lot of money to begin with so I just purchased 50 units of one product for now to see how things would go!
After 9 days the product arrives to my door and I'm ready to ship to Amazon! I go into my account to create my product listing and prepare to ship my product to Amazon and BAM I get hit with my product is under HAZMAT review and could take up to 4 days to review AFTER I submit the MSDS report from the Manufacturer!
Send all info that they requested and two weeks later I am still under review...
During this time I actually sold about 12 products using social media and other selling apps and they were going quick and pretty popular! I was sure I hit a home run!
Finally I get the bright idea to call Amazon support to find out what's going on and after talking to a rep the very next day my products are no longer under review! I create my shipping label and ship to Amazon!
My product has been live on Amazon FBA for about a week now and I haven't sold any units.. (I was doing better selling on social media). I'm not too discouraged though. I'm not naive to think I can just "list it and forget it" but currently the only form of promotion I am using the sponsored ads built into Amazon. I want to try to incorporate social media marketing (and other web traffic "techniques") to increase traffic to my listing page and try to get it to rank on the first page but I am nervous because I don't want to do anything that'll get my product ranked lower. Anyways I will keep you updated on my journey but if there is anybody who has advice please feel free to share as I will with you as I make more progress!
