IRC Dead? Where's Everyone?

Miss it myself.. would be great to get it back up and running.
 
It would be nice with discord or slack, a bit more modern but still the same thing :)

Edit: Slack would be really awesome in my opinion! :)

And if anyone does not know what Slack is:

Yeah, I'm all for a Slack group. There are some interesting Slack communities in the tech space already but it would definitely be nice to have one BHW.

plz we can just do this on discord

no need to use something of the stoneage like irc
nothing against irc but there are better things these days
 
I think Discord would be ideal for this kind of groups too! It's anonymous, user friendly and kinda cool tbh
 
IRC and i go back to the days of my i486 o_O Spend hours upon hours on it at a multitude of channels. Learned a lot. Do miss the trout slaps lol :)
 
I'd be game for slack, but I am still very active on IRC. Let's have some love for IRC!
 
Now tell me what is IRC ? some sort of bar or what ?
 
Now a days, slack seems to be a lot more popular! I suggest slack over irc.
 
I am guessing maybe its not on the cards because its counter-productive to the forum - ie it will be driving traffic away rather than to the forum.

I read a similar comment about a similar idea months/years ago, def not a good idea
