Seeing Steve Jobs just unveiled the iPhone 4 i've seen a small handful of sites offering App creation. The one I came across was http://freetheapps.tk saying it is fairly easy to create these apps.

My question is has anybody here made good money creating iPhone apps and are these apps easy to create.I have no experience creating software, but this is something I would like to be the first to hop aboard on.

nice try buddy, for those who don't know, tk are free domains, it's displaying the following page:
Code:
http://www.freetheapps.com/create-iphone-apps/?hop=bon8699

Nice try on what?Thats just the link I came across on a youtube channel
the url you posted directs to a affiliate tracking url, which your not allowed to post on these forums, you should really check where pages are pointing to before posting them then.

That package is actually available free on here somewhere. I had it at one point, but then I deleted it. If anyone can find the exact link please post here because I would like to download it again.

Honestly programming for the iphone is kind of a pain compared to programming for the android os. Recently android took the market share from iphone so its looking to become bigger soon anyway. I would just start learning how to program for android phones if your serious about this kind of thing.

This looks very interesting considering I am going for a mobile site meeting 2moro! Does some one here have the stuff. Appreciate it if you can share it here

Will iphone 3G app programming be compatible with the 4G?I've been checking out and searching for good tutorials, but there isn't much out there without paying.

You can program the app on windows but to compile it you will need the SDK and I believe the compiler will only run on Mac. You can compile for Andriod on windows. I have been meaning to see if you can install the Mac OS on vmware but haven't had time yet.

you can find out such information by signing up for the apple developer site which I believe is free but I'm pretty sure any 3g app will be compatible with 4.

Thanks.I'll try that.

Wait, does anyone know approximately what % of the market the android controls compared to the iphone?

hardly 10-15%, I read in wired.com some time back.

IDC found that Motorola had about 11.7% market share in North America in the first quarter, while HTC -- another big vendor of Android handsets -- had 9.2%. Combined, those numbers were ahead of the 17.2% market share attributed to Apple

You need Mac OS Latest version + Xcode to create iphone apps

I recently found this great new site called appmatchmaker.com it helps developers and clients create/use applications for the iphone, android, ipad, blackberry etc. It's a really great site and it's totally legit. I'm a developer myself and found it to be a huuuuuuuuuuuge help! Highly recommended!! Or atleast check it out! Hope this helped!

When I develop for iPhone and android, I usually stick to Titanium or phonegap.

They let you develop native apps using javascript, css and HTML.

You can access different hardware functions through javascript APIs.

Only downside is that you can't make pretty, 3D-games.

But you can get a game engine such as iTorque.

However, If you are going to make games yourself, you will have to have a Mac in order to develop iPhone-apps.

The android emulator and compiler works on all platforms.

yeah Titanium is awesome, you can also develop blackhat desktop applications such as web automation

How can this android thing compete with iphone and ipod touch, I thought apple was miles ahead, never even heard of android over in australia.
