After you fail and lose the money on the boosting campaign, find out where you fucked up, do a few more weeks of research, develop a new YouTube ranking strategy, create a new video, upload optimize and boost. Fail again, develop a better strategy; after 5-10 failures you should be on to something that works at which point you might start making money.
Whether you're doing YouTube + Amazon, CPA, Dropshipping, Adsense sites, etc. that $300 isn't the factor, it's time. You'll be spending months learning one of the topics you choose and that time is worth more then $300. Choose wisely

Go to YouTubes search bar, type best or top [product type] for products you are interested in (e.g. 'best electric bikes', 'best business laptops'), and search for some of the relevant longtail keyword suggestions that are shown (such as 'best business laptops under $500'). Find videos that are linking to all of their featured products in the video descriptions and/or pinned comments and check out how they make their videos.
There are a few main style of these kinds of videos. You'll see that some people are compiling product ads/trailers together and making top 5 style videos with animated intro/outro and basic numbered transition slides. Some are going a spammer looking route making slideshow type videos with copyright free background music. Others are doing slideshow style videos with animated intros/outros, animated transition slides, some video clips they've taken from official product trailers, plus are doing voice overs partially or throughout the full video.
Review them all, and try to figure out the most efficient (regarding time and financial cost) way to create informational/promotional videos for products, that you can make yourself or outsource.
Once you have the content sorted, read up on how to write video titles, descriptions, and tags, and how to optimize your title and thumbnail for click through rate.
The final step is to learn how to rank YouTube videos. You can focus on ranking videos on YouTube, Google, and ultimate target one or both loactions as desired.
The info for all of those steps is out there. I would suggest starting with BlackHatWorld, then Google, then YouTube for research. Don't buy any courses or guides/ebooks, I promise they are not required for this type of work.
