Hi my name is Taras, I'm originally from Ukraine but live in UK for a long time now.
I run two companies, one in Web3/blockchain/mobile apps space, another is in Machine Learning / Computer Vision space.
Both companies are still in startup stage so I'm doing SEO as well and looking for advise here and on Reddit.
I guess for companies like ours it would make sense to hire some agency or a full-time employee to do SEO for them, but the problem is how to find the one you can trust. We don't have a budget at this stage, and more importantly time, to experiment with different agencies and people, also I feel I need to understand how things work and keep running SEO for now until we find our engine for success. I feel quite precious about our 'white hat' and organic SEO and our content that we develop and don't want that ruined by someone who might not know what they are doing or might be seeking a short term improvement sacrificing long term stuff.
In my previous company I was responsible for SEO / digital marketing strategy and we've done really well there by gradually building up the content and creating a marketing funnel with lots of people finding us organically in Google and filling out the contact form. I'm trying to repeat the same now with my new companies, however over years now (since 2018) I don't see much in terms of results, particularly with the web3/blockchain website which I have spent much more time creating content for. I feel like the amount of content we have we should be getting much more traffic. It could be of course that the whole market isn't great or that people don't find value in our products and services, however my gut feeling is we are just missing some major factor such as a shadow ban or something that we've done that might be affecting us.
I've just posted in the white hat forum about our problems with AS and traffic with our web3 company website. Would appreciate any external feedback there. We're certainly missing something.
Thank you all and looking forward to some great discussions in this forum!
