Hello,
I am new here. So, I want to introduce myself.
I tried a lot of fancy things in my life but in the end, I found that your passion doesn't need to be shiny or fancy in any form.
I actually tried literally everything related to online earning, dropshipping, youtube, trading, CPA, you name it. But I failed. At each one of them.
I failed at all of them because I started everything just with one perspective in my mind. To make money. and make it quick. This is important to know, for all the beginners in the IM journey that if someone is making 1000's of dollars with something doesn't mean you will get the same result just by copying or purchasing his/her course. Like every other real business, IM takes lots of effort. And do not make this mistake that you are working on machines so you can take shortcuts. You are eventually doing everything for humans. Real people are sitting on the other end and consuming what you are producing online. So, long story short. I find my zen pleasure in writing.

I know my weaknesses. English is my second language, I am not a born expert in writing. My writing is not very professional but it gives me happiness. I find "me" enjoying the process. Even if I am not getting any money from writing still I am doing it, because I didn't start writing by watching some youtube videos or listening to any motivational speaker. It was already there since my school time. But I was neglecting it for a very long time because it is not as glittery as "crypto trader" or "travel vlogger". I paid a huge price for that mistake. I wasted 7-8 precious years of my life after 12th grade. and thousands of dollars too.

[Journey to start]
I am amazed by some people here posting their journey. They are setting a goal and working persistently to achieve it. Like @Kikerinka for example.
I am not that strict with my daily routine, currently working in my dad's business (not getting paid). I am not making any money from my writing as of now.
I registered a domain same as my real name to a portfolio website.
My goal is to make $200-$300 with freelance writing. I have currently 0 published articles on my website. I wrote a few offline BTW.
I am going to publish an article per day on my website. Today I'll post one after editing which I wrote yesterday. And going to write another one today.
After publishing 10-15 articles on my website and a few on public platforms, I'll approach the employer to get work.
I can't do it full-time, I only have 3-4 hours a day to write.
If I get permanent part-time work, that would be much better. I will start one more website then, as a side hustle.

That's it for today. Extremely sorry if you felt that you've wasted your time reading this thread. I am a newbie and starting from zero.
So, wish me luck.

I hope we will see each other someday in the future. (Don't take this shit seriously)

Welcome Ally Barns. I'm new to this place too. Hope we newbies grow in this space. Welcome again.

Thank for the mention mate :).

Enjoying the process is the most important thing. That's the content of our life...
Don't feel sorry for having not-so-ambitious financial goals like some. This is not a competition. As long as you find your way--be it a part time freelance writing career, and enjoy the way, and deliver some real value to your clients, you can definitely call it a success. Even if you barely make anything. God luck to you, and I'll keep my eye on this.

Today I post 1 article 1741 words. It was a tough job. Not as ways as I was thinking. Because on a website you need to care about SEO, links, title, heading, keyword search, etc.

I don't know if this is the right section to continue my journey. I would like to request from @BassTrackerBoats to move this to journey if applicable.

No journey is big or small. Your dedication matters the most. Hope you succeed.

You are in the right sub-forum, do not worry.

Update
Published two articles 1480 words and 1774 words since last update.

I was acting lazy thought but still some things were too much time consuming for me.
:( Time Taking - Keyword research, content research, editing & proofreading
:D Easy - Writing

I am working on my content writing strategy and will update if find something useful.

This week's goal:
Publish 2 articles of 1500 words.

My first income was from freelance writing, I remember wrote a story on fishing and got $7 for it, the client liked so much he ordered another fishing story for $5 more.
Best of luck for your journey, and stay in touch, I require writeups from time to time.

Update:

Published 12 Articles ranging from min.1200 words to max. 4200 words.
Huh! that was a lot of work. This time I didn't face much problem writing articles.
Thank you all of you for your kind advice.
This time editing took more time than anything else, but I am happy with the final results.
I know that I can produce more. I am spending too much of my time in learning here on BHW.
I am aggressively learning keywords research and on-page SEO. Keyword research is so fun to me.
I also enjoy creating custom images in canva for my articles.
Continuously working on my content creation strategy too.

Now, a big challenge for myself.
Write 50 articles till 1 June range from 1000 to 2000 words max.

Journey Complete!

I can't believe it, but it's done.
I was on my mission to write 50 articles to my show my writing skills. But I also applied for a job on the side.
I got an offer from my own town on 7/5/2021. There is a small digital marketing agency, they offered me $200 per month:D
The agency is 8-9 years old and even they don't know, what they do. Seriously!
Their own website is not mobile responsive.
But they were happy for hunting a new slave in their empire.
I have to write one article per day (2000 - 3000 words), related to academic writing.
I accepted the offer because I really need some money to cover my expenses.
I was using my brother's hotspot for quite a while.:anyway:
Now at least I can start a new journey without worrying about internet bill and cover any charges like domain, hosting, and other.
I am really happy and grateful that I found this forum.
