Hi guys, Im member signed about 2 years ago at this forum. In that time I managed to master in SEO and finally made decision to launch my online SEO tool ? Ultimate Backlinks Checker.

All backlinks data are taken from premium custom made AHREFS account, backlinks info is visible within seconds, just like in AHREFS. I managed to come up with additional tools, some of them are my original ideas and creations.
As I have settled and programmed most of it I still look for a places to improve, modules already built on are:


  1. Backlinks check, anchors, dates created etc. (AHREFS, basiclly all you can find now on ahrefs)
  2. Domain basic info (WHOIS, Age etc)
  3. Page Rank (fake or not) possible redirects etc.
  4. Duplicate content checker ? powered by copyscape premium
  5. on page SEO analysis
  6. CEREBRO score , domain ranking in points showing possible spam coming it (don?t want to say more now ? its a key feature)
  7. Social Media signals (tweets, likes etc.)
  8. PA and DA stats

As you see is rather big, as I wanted it to be but Im looking for advise on your side what might be also useful for you, maybe there is something you cant find and is needed for your SEO work.
As I got so much wisdom from this forum I would like to give something back in return, for anybody replying here with valuable ideas (in public or PM me) will get him 6 months membership for free !

Tool is called CEREBRO, available at http://opencerebro.com (plain info + graphics now but check) Launch date is around January/february 2015. Im open for any suggestions. Any advice much appreciated !

This is definitely interesting.

The design. your page design makes it look somewhat cheap. You might want to improve it. Take a look at most of pre-launch page on betalist.com if you want. Oh and one more, the email subscription, it's better to put it above the fold so people can subscribe easier.

About the tool, it really depends on how good the reports will be. Your tool is a backlink checker, right? And you get the data from Ahrefs. The other features are rather weak. SERP checker, duplicate checker, these kind of reports aren't that complicated at current condition. If Ahrefs is the only 'main menu' on Cerebro, I'd just prefer subscribe directly on Ahrefs instead.

From what I see now, you're trying to combine reporting system between backlink, SERP, social, who is, and duplicates. No one actually has problem with that now. You might ended up trying to solve problem no one has.

You need more features or different feature than what Ahrefs, MOZ OSE, and Majestic SEO already providing.
 
I like the name too and interested to see what you came up with however the page won't load for me!

@ Lasaint - you got right, key point at start is to offer (at some point) Ahrefs access just in diffrent skin, all for 50% of the price. Additional tools we are making are also needed. I cant tell it now but there will be one key feature that's unique among other SEO tools. I hope it will meet audience expectetions :) I would like also explain in my tool how google index status is important, many SEOers dont pay attention to it at start and its good way to analisys any after-Google update period.

As for a actual website opencerebo.com I updated it a bit, there will be also video for it soon. I know site is rather modest in form but I kinda like it that way - dont you think ?

I don't like the color and layout and i agree with Lasaint, it's better to put another email subscriptiona at the top page. BTW, i can not find a place to sign up.
 
I'm finding the text of the website very hard to read. The text is showing up very tiny on my iPad. I think a video highlighting the features and how the software works would be a big plus.

I guess I would need a bit more information on what makes this a better service than what is available currently. It seems like that is the part you are wanting to keep secret for now, which is fine.

I would like like to see a screen shot of your dashboard when the product is ready, I might be able to help a little more when I see what you're selling
 
I just never understand new businesses like this.... why would you recreate what already exists? especially since it exists with many far superior services. I don't mean to discourage you but this was a bad idea I'm sorry to say. It's no different than saying that you decided to open a new store to compete with walmart that sells walmart products, though only a very small portion of the products available at walmart with none of the benefits walmart itself offers.... its mind baffling

First, nice name! Brand it right away.

Second, redesign your website. Create a opt-in form, coming soon page or something. Make it look like expensive, you're selling a product here.

Third, make sure the UI is good and easy to work with. Most software fails on this aspect, make it easy and design it properly.

I'll be keeping this thread bookmarked.
 
I did small changes on website, I put optin form above the fold as you suggested. Promo Video is on the way.
You definitely have a point to come up with solution that is nowhere to be found but I was thinking that having multitask tool of exisitng solutions but filltred by really needed features for free will be a good value for clients - am I correct ? All packed with friendly UI etc.
Im not planning to change the world, just have a piece of market in time. There will be orginal features that I was looking for while I was doing SEO for my websites or clients.
If the time come for paid subscription my goal is to charge no more then $40-$50 per month for full access.

No, each of the modules comes with premade API + some minor changes on our side, for our own designed modules we dont provide API. Why you ask ?

I was thinking to use majestic API, after reviewing it in details I decided to go with Ahrefs, their backlinks databse now is second to none. I decided to pick best API available now at the market. I will show however ahrefs domain rank along with PA and DA from seomoz.

Just for clarifictaion, it will be SEO analysys tool, not link building one.

As for colors scheme, I kind of like it, I master industrial design so its important for me tool to be easy in use along with nice layout.
