Interpreting this Terms & Conditions statement

I am going over the terms and conditions for a product I am thinking about selling. The statement basically says,

'Affiliates cannot use XXXX photos or user testimonials in their promotions.'

The XXXX photos can be found in the banner section within the affiliate tools page. The testimonials are also provided in this area as well. Does it mean these XXXX photos can only be used as banner images and not anywhere else, for example, product images/within an article? Same with the testimonials, does it mean I cannot use testimonials as a form of paid advertisement but somewhere on a blog would be fine? Not really asking for your secret sauce, I just don't want to be in violation.

The type of photo is a Before and After image if that helps. I remember a seeing a warning like this when I was running FB ads for another project, 'Images should not contain heavy text, and Before and After images are not allowed' or something to that effect, so I am not sure if it is related to recent change for for all of paid advertising.

Edit: I guess the primary confusion is why would they provide these assets if I cannot use them? The vendor spotlight shows that the product was activated in late 2017. Maybe some paid ad update rolled out after this product was available?

You should probably ask them directly, seems strange that they say you cannot use them and add them to their affiliates area lol.

^^^ also, sometimes networks keep intentially vague TOS in case they want to kick off a publisher and dont want to justify it while at the same time not wanting to use strong language such as "We retain the right to ban without justification" or similar. So stay aware of that.
