Instagram Organic and Increased Follow back Question

What's up Blackhatworld, a couple questions for all you Instagram vets out there. I currently have one account doing manual follow/unfollow liking and commenting. Pretty good micro niche. I have good content and my account is only a week old. I currently have 2051 followers and following 132 after last unfollow day.

For any of you that track closely, was there ever a certain amount of followers you've achieved where you saw a noticeable rise in organic followers and follow back rate?

Also, I'm planning on using this account for shout outs in the future. What amount of followers do I need before I will see direct messages requesting shout outs..?

Around 7 k, people will start asking you for free shoutouts lol.
I haven't noticed anything. TBH it gets harder and harder to get good engagement but easier and easier to get followers as you grow.
