Instagram new restrictions or bug?

I've created a private bot that I use for personal accounts and a few companies for the last year now. I have been able to follow and unfollow 5000+ people in a day without any problems until last night. One of my accounts (a very important one, possibly my biggest client) is have the most bizarre issue. It appears that I can only follow 'certain' people. Some people it will follow without any issues but then 2/3 of the accounts I attempt to follow will not work; it goes green as if it going to follow but then goes back to blue immediately after; as if I have hit an hourly limit or something? This happens with about 2/3 of the accounts I try to follow. Now here is the strangest part: the people I seemingly cant follow have a workaround. If I click the follow button rapidly for about 5 to 6 times it will usually follow them. Sometimes I have to attempt it a few times. What could this possibly be? A bug? A new limit? As far as my other accounts go, they seem to be doing fine.

I'm not sure what the limits are, but somethings definitely changed this weekend. I started having issues saturday with liking, and it's on the API side because even on my phone when I liked it would unlike.

Same thing happened to me. I only have one account and it's limiting my amounts of likes. I wasn't able to like any pictures for two days. Then yesterday I could but I must've hit my limit again because I've been "cut off" all day today.
