Here's the game plan... I'm going to open up a new Instagram account. Immediantly, I am going to inflate the follower count. Nothing too crazy, but I'm going to start off by purchasing about 10k. IMO, that would be the minimum to make a project like this work. Once the fake followers come in, I will begin the tedious process of following/unfollowing. My goal is to gain 1000 legitimate followers using this method within the course of a week. These will be my primary targets. I'm going to upload niche-related quotes/pictures regularly, and build the profile up to appear as a completely natural page. I'll probably also buy some comments and likes to help with this, but hopefully by this point I will be gaining some legitimate engagement to help the profile seem real. I will also mention related profiles to help build up the engagement. At this point, I should have 11k+ followers. This is where it becomes make or break. I will personally reach out to similar profiles in my niche asking them if they are interested in paid shoutouts to help increase their social media visibility. I'm hoping I can spark some decent discussion with this post. I'm anxious to hear if anybody else has tried similar methods, and what results you had. I certainly know there's money to be made on Instagram, but since this is a completely manual approach, I feel like there is some major potential here. If this works, I don't see any reason why I can't rinse and repeat the same process with Twitter, and open several of these accounts all bringing in $$$.
