Hello people,

My question is about Instagram Meta data & MD5 hash thing. I heard they ban or shadowban many accounts who didn't edit the metadata and the MD5 hash from the video they downloaded. I found a solution with the photos metadata & MD5 hash. I just take a screenshot and the metadata is changed. But what about the videos? Please if you know the answer let me know. Thank you!

These were the old times, now IG can detect beyond md5, using advanced image processing techniques

I'm not sure but many people remove it. That's kinda crazy because almost every page repost the same content.... And what? WHy they ban or shadowban pages who reposting other's people content? They are not the owners they repost too?

Anyone? All I need to know is how to delete the metadata or MD5 Hash of the video files? I found a solution with the photos. Please if you know the answer let me know.

If your goal is just to change the MD5, much easier to just load the bytes to a buffer and fiddle the last few bytes. As re-rendering can be long.

But that is more something for your bot to do than for you to do manually

So considering changing the md5 isn’t enough, what methods do we have to repost already viral content if Instagram uses advanced image processing?

resize
flip the image on the horizontal axis (or would that be vertical?)
mess around with the hue / saturation / sharpness / contrast.
etc etc


ISG are doing more than MD5, but they are not running *that* complex checks IMO, the amount of images they would have to check would be immense

Resizing is the easiest. Alternatively you could add a watermark
 
I have been reposting images (giving credits to the owner) without changing MD5 hash and I see no issues.
Instagram TOS says you can repost with permission from the original content owner. So I don't think they can put a ban based on hash of the image.
