Instagram Hashtags

Hello, I am currently struggling with hashtags on my main account which has a mix between comedy content and streetwear/rap content, how can I find the right hashtags to use? I've experimented with many lots of hashtags but none of them seem to work THAT well, although I get on the top three on most of the hashtags I never gain any engagement. How could I possibly gain engagement through hashtags and being on the top of hashtags and how do I know/what hashtags do I use?

Maybe you should segment your audience better and see what hashtags they use most.
