So apparently there's this vague error on IG "Sorry there was a problem with your request" that doesn't let you sign in from your mobile device and that's the only message it gives you when trying to login. I tried a lot of options and nothing worked and then came across a YouTube video that had 6 possible methods to fix the issue. 5 of them didn't work and I didn't want to try the last (reset my phone). Then I read some of the comments and found the solution so I wanted to share it here if anyone else has the same problem. I'm sure this will be easier to find on the Googles.
Here's what you do...

Here's what you do...
Step 1: Log into your account on a computer.
Step 2: Add your phone number to your account(Edit Profile).
Step 3: Go on instagram app.
Step 4: Choose forgot password.
Step 5: Using the phone number select send login link.
Step 6: Enter the code from the text message.
After this you should be logged in! EDIT: If you get an error when sending the phone code, try using a friends phone number instead. Do NOT download an app for a new phone number. I have multiple accounts so I took off the phone number from the first account and redid the whole process above with the next account. Only this time I picked "add account" while logged into the first account. Please like this message to save a life. I've been stuck for 2 months!
