I just found out my instagram ad account got disabled- and i'm not sure why. Has this happened to anyone recently? I was running standard campaigns without violating any known policies. What steps can i take to recover the account? any advice or personal experiences would be really helpful.

sometimes meta will ban clean active accounts. we should always have multiple accounts as backup, using one account will sooner or later be disabled

Go to settings, then "account status", it should say there why it got suspended. It may be due to a post that violated the terms; once removed, the account standing should be fine.

Yeah! I guess you're right. This was my main account so i didn't expect it. Do you have any tips on how to safely run and manage backup accounts without getting them flag too?

Yeah, it happens a lot—even with clean campaigns. Likely triggered by payment issues or login activity. Best steps:

Submit an appeal with payment proof.
  1. Run a small FB ad to unlock Business Support chat.
  2. Use chat to escalate the issue.
Be patient—it can take days to weeks.

Same here, mine got hit last week. Wasn’t doing anything shady either. Try appealing it, sometimes they reverse it. Could just be IG acting up again. Let us know if you get it back.

If your Instagram ad account gets disabled, first check for any policy violations. Then, submit an appeal through Instagram’s Help Center or app, provide any requested verification, and contact Meta Business Support if needed. Be patient—responses can take a few days.

only one way you can unblock it is with you connect support team. and yes this happen alot.

Yes, it’s been happening more often lately even with “clean” campaigns. Most of the time it isn’t what you’re promoting, but how the account is structured, payment method, or even hidden triggers inside the creative. Once the system flags you, it can escalate straight to a full disable.

What usually works is appealing with the right setup (wording + account history), but if the account has zero trust or was freshly used for ads, recovery can be very hit-or-miss.
I’ve been testing different recovery methods and also building setups that don’t trip these auto-flags in the first place. If you want, I can share what’s been working for me just shoot me a DM here, or if it’s easier, hit me on TG: @consultant900

Check account status under settings, it should display which of your posts violated their policies, just delete the post and you are good

sometimes it happen.
but after contacting support they unblock it.

Try creating a new Business Manager and link the same ad account to see if it unlocks.
