.info domain are blacklisted?

Hi, can I know which domain-provider is the cheapest for renewal? I see that goddady is the cheapest for 1st year, but renewal is about 7.99$....are there any cheaper info renewals?

Make it easier for yourself and buy a .org - .net - .com .. people who say they rank .infos either have absolute crap competition, established domain age or great backlinks

This is not true at all there is no difference between .info and .com/other TLD google accepts them all the same rating wise - if other people get poor results its probably the human effect as only humans see a difference between .com and .info

.info is not blacklisted by google.
You can search some keywords shows website with .info domain
It proves that .info absolutely not get blacklisted

People who say that one TLD ranks better than another are just desperate to sound knowledgeable by having some keen insight into how the search engines work.. I have a good mix of .info / .com and really have not noticed any difference in ranking.. You can get 3 infos for the price of 1 .com at namecheap ..

My .info sites look great because wordpress makes it so easy, althought I've seen some god aweful examples.. I also think .info fits with certain keywords since it reads like <keyword> information

The majority of the domain I own are info's and I have over 3000 info pages ranked and climbing and I barely do any backlinking... so i dono wat some of u are smoking.

I'm using some top keywords with info domains and my site are showing in google first page results.

I tend to go with the train of thought that .info are initially more difficult to rank... but over time they can and will rank well. I have probably 20 .info's and many more .com's. Just my opinion, but I personally wouldn't use .info anymore as my first choice. I believe the big "G" looks at them with skepticism at first. At least thats been my experience.

not true at all. Google has nothing to do with .info or .com. if the content is great .info can even better ranked.

I have no problem with it, infact my biggest site in terms of traffic is a .info and gets around 1.5-2k organic visitors daily

I started writing review articles that I plan to submit to article directories (goarticles, ezine etc)

I plan to use .info to redirect to my review blog of several clickbank products related to the same niche in my resource box

Do you think using .info domain will be problem?

I don't see where you would have any problem by doing that, but I'm not sure why you'd want to. I think you'd get better results by building another site on the .info, making it more of an information site, and then use it for backlinks to your main site. Doing it right could make your main site seem more relevant in your niche. If your thinking you want to do some BH promotion on the .info to insulate it from the main site, I don't think that would help. The spiders will just follow the 301 and then penalize the main site anyway.

I do it both ways sometimes, depending on why I'm doing it.

I have some projects where I get several tld and redirect them all to the main one, usually my .com or .org would be my main site. Usually I only do that I'm trying to create a brand with the site. I might get a .org, a .com and a .net and if I have those sometimes I'll do a redirect from the .com to the .org site. If I'm branding the website, I know that anyone typing it in the address bar might forget what the tld is, so this way I'll still get them.

Other times I'll build related sites and structure them all as one site with different aspects of the site on each tld. Sometimes I do this just to protect my branding, other times I do it because it can make for a more interesting site structure. It also has the same effect if it's a branded site, I'll still get the visitors that forget my tld.

The only time I really bother with the .info, .biz, and other lesser tlds is if I really have a good use for the name and it isn't available in a better tld. In that case I use it to enhance the other sites, but I don't try to brand the .info site because if visitors remember the name they'll probably forget the tld and so I'll lose those repeat visitors to whoever has the .com site.

I dont think they're blacklisted. it just takes more work to get them Higher PR's.

I have 12 sites in a geo-targeted niche market, all ranking #1-#3, all .com's. I have one .info site that follows the same strategy for the same campaign and it is on page 8.

It may get better, but I don't have time to wait it out to save 6 bucks!

Personally, I will not be purchasing anymore .info's even though I fell in love with their price for awhile.

I don't think they're blacklisted either, everything depends on what do you need them for. In one year you'll have to pay the same price as for any .com and .net
Plus for flipping they are not good for sure.
So for long term - they are not good, for a few months run - just perfect.

i have 3 .info's that rank #1 in google for warez searches... and you all know that warez is full of competition, most of it are just kids with no SEO knowledge that's true, but there are also heavy players, like in all other niches.

Plus, they are all full of dupe content cause they are all autoblogs, so, 2 myths going down, dupe content penalty(cause i outrank the sites from where i get the content) and .info being bad.

The dupe content may very well be explained cause i have a resident google bot on the websites always indexing pages so my posts get indexed first, sometimes even 2 googlebots at the same time(yes, i index that many pages, like for every 2k posts in the site google indexes 30k pages )

Resuming, if you are short on money, go for .info and just do your thing. but be sure you won't be short on money when the renewal comes, cause they are cheap to buy but more expensive than .com's on renewal
