.info domain are blacklisted?

There is a really great thread about using .info domains at this link: http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/making-money/132638-using-info-domains-excellent-income.html The OP for that thread ran a test on a .info and also listed several PR 8 .info domains which should prove that .info domains are not blacklisted.

info domains works best my 2 autoblogs are on info domains.

They are not blacklisted, but they are not trusted either.

I am of the camp that you do need to give them a little more attention than other extensions when it comes to google.

I like the experiment from almost a year ago, but we have since seen an algo change.

I recently had sites running. All of them running similar types of content. I had two extensions. co.cc and .info. Guess what, every single one of the .infos in that network (yes they were registered on different days, not to many, and are on different servers etc etc) are now gone... while my co.cc continue to index rank and send traffic as though nothing happened.

All things equal, the .infos fell on their face while the free domains which are notorious spam domains continued to perform.

I used to argue this point about .infos being no different, however after owning approximately some 25k of .infos over the last few years, I have to say otherwise. It does look like you need to give them a little more love to come out of the honeymoon with google still to be wanted.

If your goal is short term traffic for less than a year, then by all means. Go nuts with them :)
