    Hey guys,

As you all would know that paypal now requires a PAN card no. for indian paypal users. I am under 18 and thats why I have put in the wrong age during paypal signup. My question is that if I put in my PAN card no. will paypal know my correct age and possibly freeze my account or something??

    What should I do??

    Thanks

Make a new account with the name of your family member who has a valid PAN card no.

PayPal is least bothered about your PAN No. and Age verification. They are just collecting it as a formality of RBI which has asked them to do so for being able to allow the facility of withdrawal through Indian Banks and also to track the Foreign Currency Spendings.

PAN No. is more important to track the money that you are spending (The Foreign Currency Reserves going out of India) through PayPay. RBI & Income Tax Department in-fact give you a rebate in Tax when your earn money in Foreign Currency as it is PLUS to India or for that matter any country.

However my best advise for safe future is...... if you have any money stuck in PayPal account just put some PAN no. and withdraw that amount and open a new account on someone else's name who has a valid PAN No.

Note: The person whose PAN No. you mention will get the Tax benifit for Foreign Currency Earnings and he will have to declare that while filing his/ her returns.

    Hope this helps you.

If you are under 18 how can you have a PAN card! As per my knowledge you need to be of min 18 to apply for a PAN card.

You shouldn't do that. You have to give your pan number only. Any one can get a pan card . You can get one too very easily. contact your nearest auditor. He will help you.

Yes, it's possible - I used my Dad's CC for verification but I changed it later when PP asked me why my CC and Bank a/c has different names?

I think its a different story with CC's because I used a VCC to verify my PP and that didn't have my name either. I am still unsure about whether I should do this....

Just wanted to tell you guys that you can get a pan card at whatever age. I had got for my son who was 6 months old. I have heard people having pan card for children around 2-3 months of age. Hope this clears the doubt about pan card.

I don't exactly know wat ur problem is but when PP asked to give me my pancard details I just clicked on the PP logo on the top of the page and it just skipped the process. If PP is not letting u withdraw money without a PAN card then I think u should create a new account with some1s valid pancard

OK guys, Pls clear some doubts i have.

I'm going to create a new Paypal account in my father's name. He has a bank a/c, pan no. and a debit card. I'm going to use the debit card to verify the paypal account, but i heard that paypal sends you a verification number which you need to verify the account.

Since i'm going to use a debit card, how do you get that verification number?

Sorry for the noobishness. Right now very confused.

    Thanks in advance
