Indecisive When Choosing a Domain Name - Any Advice?

Does anyone else get stuck on settling on a domain name for a new site?

Ive been stuck for 2 days now and still cant decide. Is anyone else like this?

Nope never...
I never searched for 2 weeks for a site name.
I no longer fall into that trap, as I just get creative and find something catchy, I even ignore TLDs and have gone with some vanity extensions.
 
Domain names doesnt matter so much anymore these days for SEO anyways

NOT 2 weeks.... its 2 days lol :)

Anyway, how you get on with new tld's in serps? Notice any good results?

I was being sarcastic and when I was starting out I actually did once search for 2 weeks for what I felt was the PERFECT domain name.

I have not noticed any issues in SERPs, I also haven't noticed any issues on social. Just make it flow nicely, like weparty.hard

Well they can all say what they want about the new TLD but people still trust the big 3 and the local authority.

Most marketers and me too use those cheap ntld for burn and churn.

Thats good to hear, during all my research i havnt noticed any new tlds up in the top of search engines in my niche...
 
Choose .com + brandable domain.

You don't want exact match domains anymore, too much risk of over optimisation.
 
Why dont you go for expire domain ? You are trying to create brand or what ?

I prefer to name a site as brand-able, as possible. In order to do this, I use an adjective, and a noun. What works well, is a color and an animal. Why? Because you can brand the shit out of that!

PurpleSalmon.com, would be an awesome example of a name that you can brand. Now have a mascot as well! It makes generating a logo easy, and you can have the purple salmon do whatever you want. SEO, ORM, Sell Buckets, Recommend Popular Songs or Unpopular Songs.

"PurpleSalmon.com - A SEO Agency - Swimming to the top of the search results!"
"PurpleSalmon.com - We have crossed oceans looking for the best buckets on the planet."
"PurpleSalmon.com - The Best Songs of 2017 - Mainstream AND Upstream"

Get creative, there's no other real way.

Choose something long but GOOD.
