So I had an idea to test the market, I'm not in the US, for webdesign services.. I got out well-dressed with my iphone that's loaded with a few templates screenshots.
I had a goal in mind that I'm going to target car rental shops and car dealers along the way.
The issue is, even when someone had a website, and paying 200$ a year to power it, when I offered less, 50$/year, they just don't care!
Got some electronics mall and had a talk, he wants me to work full time, he interviewed me. That was just a fast talk. And I don't really think I'd work 9-5 job. By the way, this is the middle east!
I don't know about these fish-oil companies that are milking this, but 200$ a year when you can do it on free shared hosting since these websites never get traffic.
I have a real urge to fuck these so called web-design companies. This is my goal, by offering it for less. Dump a professional template, and it's done.
My script is simple : Hi, I'm offering a new idea to empower your business by designing a website that's compatible with any device. That will cost less than "others" at a same or better quality.
Sometimes I'd flip it along these lines:
You know these days, everyone searches for cars on the internet...
Responses: Yea we post on dubizzle and olx(weblistings).
Most responses I'm getting right now is: leave your phone number and comeback later. Some fishy stores can even do it "themselves" Lol. And others would say we already have a website, which is basically a facebook page!
This is just an update to this 2-days journey(4-5 hours going out), I'm charging 300$/350$ for the webdesign. When most companies are going for 1000$ and 500$.
