I think you can get away with simply rename the images after your keyword and adding the keyword as ALT tag. At least that's how I did it 3 years ago when I last cared about SEO, if things have changed in the meantime I don't know but I still think it's overkill

I mean, name your images after your keyword. For example, if your keyword is "car insurance" your image file would be called carinsurance.jpg (or png or whatever format you use). And also use "car insurance" in the ALT tag of the image....so just image title with hyphen then?
