Blogging offers many benefits such as: building online presence, increasing website traffic, establishing expertise, generating leads and revenue, improving SEO, and providing a platform for self-expression and personal brand
 
People try for months and sometimes years to succeed in blogging, and you're just few weeks and already quitting.
Start changing things up, you must be doing something wrong.
 
Writing few hundrets words won't make you passive $$ you need more articles and of course backlinks

Did you get your keyword research right? Because that's the 1st and arguably the most important step in SEO. If you don't do this right, you will never rank for anything that requires know-how, money and patience.

Content writing, yeah you've written a lot of content but did you optimize it for google? (keyword density, alt image tag, LSI terms, all that crap that Rank Math or SurferSEO say it's important... did you do them?)

Time / Sandbox... did you wait at least 6 months (but preferably 9 to 12) for your - presumably fresh domain - to get out of the potential sandbox, or to wait for it to rank in general?

Backlinks... did you get any? I mean, did you get any backlinks that matter? Of course, you might still rank without backlinks if you target the right keywords, but I don't know what keywords you went after, so I assume that - since you're not ranking - you've chosen hard keywords, in which case you need good backlinks (and you still need to wait)

Niche... what niche are you in, by the way? Any of the investing / forex / insurance / SEO / web hosting / CBD / weight loss / scholarships types of niches somehow? Because if you're in one of these niches, well... good luck ranking in them with this attitude!

Anyway, stop crying and start doing what's necessary! Or get an offline job as SEO is not for everyone anymore

After learning on how to blog for some weeks, I think these are the summary of "how-to".
Even then,
1. (BAD) I do not think I have successfully done KW research
2. (Neutral) I really depends on YoastSEO for content writing
3. (Neutral) I have passed the sandbox
4. (BAD) I do not constantly get new links, I have only ~40 gov/edu/.com backlinks on my main site, and none on my pages
5. (BAD) I do random blog content :\ but I ensure I find the long tail keyword or low competition keyword
6. And finally, the GRIT is not there yet. I keep slacking off by finding more tutorials on "how to" instead of executing.

Any other suggestion I can do to move the BAD into GREAT? Very much appreciate inputs!

1. Since you're a newbie you can't rely on intuition and experience to assess the competitiveness of keywords, so use whichever SEO tool you prefer to find keywords that meet all of these criteria...

a) are considered long tails (4+ words long)
b) there are at least 2-4 sites ranking in top 10 which are easy to beat (easy to beat = DA / DR under 30, few DoFoll0w links pointing to the ranking URLs, and no / low quality content on them)
c) even if there aren't at least 2-3 weak sites, as long as the big sites ranking in top 10 have very little, very low, or no content at all for your target keyword you can outrank them with good content if your site's technical SEO and topical authority are good (this will not work in every niche, but it will work in some)

5. random blog content how? What do you mean by "random"? Because if you mean that you're not targeting any keyword with your content then that's a waste of time as nobody will find your content. Just find some easy keywords and use an AI writer to create content and with a bit of optimization you should be good

6. Ah yes, the grit... well, as much as it pains me to say it I am NOT the best person to give advice on how to be gritty because I'm lacking grit myself. Which makes the comment that you quoted of me make me sound like a total hypocrite, which sometimes I am. Damn it, now I feel enraged for having made that comment, as true as it still is :(

Hey maan, I know how you feel. been there twice already.

I somehow came into this making money online thing, found out about niche blogging, and decided to take action about two years ago. My first website was in a difficult niche (I didn't know it at that time), although I felt like I did everything correctly like you now think, I did not rank, I waited for about 8-9 months, and I had about 60 articles. I was getting about 100 views or so, but that wasn't really cutting it. So, I quit for a short time, took some rest, and felt irritated by the fact that I quit without seeing it to the end, because deep down I knew, I had to wait for at least a few months, and also knew had to publish more posts. (now know my posts weren't the best )

Then I started my second, in a niche I assumed was easy, but this time, I had some money and decided to hire people, (they all sucked and gave me the worst article) that coincided with me having lots of personal shit going on in my life, so I had to trust them to publish it. in the hindsight, I shouldn't have.

The blog had about 100 articles but got again almost no views, and out of desperateness, decided to buy backlinks, I must've bought some spammy backlinks, I guess because I had no ahrefs subscription couldn't check each website, but after a month or so, with the helpful content or the other, the site didn't grow. I gave up on that site too. I shouldn't have, because, I could've continued publishing or updating the content and improving it, and by now, I would already be generating some income for sure.

I am on my third website, now, started literally beginning of this year, I have written about 10 or so posts, (the domain is aged) and I already get about 100 views a day. which is not a lot, but compared to my other sites, it is still much much better.

So, the heartfelt advice is that you dont' give up, keep up writing good content, write at least like 200 or more you will surely see results, assuming they are good artilce.
Also, look how many other people are making it. It is really not that complicated you know, once you know the basics, just grind it out for at least two years with one site, trust me on this. with one site, and up to 200 posts or more. and if you still don't see results, then you may give up!
 
target low comp keywords mate , and phrases then scale one by one wisely , don't loose your hope over .
 
Along with good content, you have to follow both On-Page and Off-Page SEO techniques to get your site ranked in a good position.
Focus on relevant and less competitive keywords, initially. SEO really takes time. Be consistent in what you do. You'll get good results.

Content is king only if you target a micro niche or publish on established websites with traffic. You can, for example join a weight loss affiliate program and write a kick ass article and publish it on an established website with your aff link or a link to your affiliate website. You just need to do it smart. Google some high traffic keywords and look for sponsored content and you will find plenty of ideas. It's not easy but pays you well. The other option is to join Jon Morrow cource and get into the club of successful writers who make a living writing without seo efforts. Or write books for kindle and change your life forever. There are many ways to make a lot from writing without worriing for traffic or seo at all. Here is another opportunity - learn and master sales page writing and offer it as a service on bhw and elsewhere. There is an ebook on the marketplace that teaches you how to write sales pages and let me assure you that there is a demand for this content. I paid $3k for a slaes page some time ago, guy wrote an article on dick pills and I made 10k in the first month thanks to the great copy. Stop writing articles and start writing sales copies, paid promo for businesses ready to pay you a lot or publish your own books if this is what you want to do.
 
Classic SEO doesn't work. Just blogging doesn't work as well. There are few ways to make your blog rock:
1) Write high-quality blogs (just like Brian Dean)
2) Use HARO (5 links out of 100 answers still 5 links).
3) Contact Influencers (interview, etc).

With the rise of AI content and bs that Forbes can be #1 on "cbd oil" or "online casino" or any other keyword, you can rely on high positions.
