I only have experience with paid traffic + arbitrage, it's still feasible but don't expect high rois, you need volume to make this work.

The idea is you buy traffic for cheap and you make back more than you spent acquiring that user to your site.

It works well with viral sites, since it's easy to make click bait headlines to get high ctr and therefpre low cpcs when you create the ads. Paginate your content and make sure it is interesting and the user will click the next button to see more content. You usually purchase traffic from native networks.

This is pretty old method, I no longer do it because it's saturated and google nessie arrows disappearing made rois too low. But maybe it will give you some ideas. If you want to see live examples of people doing this, just go and spy on some sites with native ads widgets, tons of people still do this. And if you see someone doing it, it means they are making money. Back in the day when facebook allowed clickbait ads people banked hard doing this, check out viralnova, sold for 100mil at the peak of fb clickbait.
