I'm going to start reviewing every content BST

Thats too "SWEET" of you to create different profiles and ask people for their content and become a review hero!
Why dont you just buy some content and then review like many do? Why are you complicating simple shit?
There's nothing about creating other profiles here. It's a matter of putting John Smith as the name.
And that's what I've been doing for the past few years. Buy content and leave a review. However, it's not that easy to sift through for new buyers, so I decided I'd stir up some attention around the subject.

I'm unsure if I'll go forward with the seal. That was more of a last minute photoshop adventure to try to spark some hype after writing up an article on this. I'm not sure if I I'll be purchasing all of the BSTs, but I sure do have a large list of who I've used.

On your own website the Seal may work as long as your reviews are honest and only the very best service providers receive it. But you would need some kind of rating system because if 10 content providers all receive the seal it doesn't really help. I would want to know who was the very best in each price range, that would help people in their purchasing decisions.

Also you would have to purchase each of the services on a regular basis to ensure that the seal is still valid, in fact for it to really work you would probably have to purchase each service at least monthly and the seal would only be valid for a month. On several occasions I have purchased content and been impressed but then go back a month or two later and the quality isn't the same.

I think what I'll do is not use the seal, but keep a list, with a short review of each, and mark each review with a date.

You're right about the content quality changing though. Luckily, I repurchase from the good providers often enough that I might be able to keep tabs on everyone naturally, at no additional cost.

Actually, rule 3.3 prohibits us from creating more than 1 Black Hat World account.
The following are examples of content or activities that are prohibited on the Site, site mods / admin decision is final:

3.1. Criminal, or tortious activity, including, but not limited to Hacking, Botnets, Identify Theft, Carding (credit card theft or “skimming” ), Pharma stuff (including prescription medications as defined by FDA “Orange book”), Ponzi schemes, Cash gifting, Cookie Stuffing involving fraud, Spamming techniques.

3.2 Activity that involves the use of viruses, bots, worms, or any other computer code, files or programs that interrupt, destroy or limit the functionality of any computer software or hardware, or otherwise permit the unauthorized use of or access to a computer or a computer network.

3.3 Activity that involves Currency Trades or Exchanges (Example: Exchanging PayPal for eGold money), Buying/Selling CPA accounts, Buying/Selling Social Security Numbers or Identities, CPA offer filling circles, Paying to have CPA offers filled, Requesting fake review comments for other forums' BST sections, Digg / Stumble (or similar) requests and trades, Asking how to make $xxx/day, Any "fake" account for the purposes of defrauding a network or individual, Promoting other forums by any means including in your signature, Creating more than one account on BHW.

Exactly. So why won't I just put a fake username? My name is: donaldtrump69

I'm lying on my sofa watching France vs Germany and eating paté and grapes, so forgive me if I have missed anything.

I've only been reviewing BST's for a month or so, but if you have submitted a BST in this time chances are I reviewed it. The only other person who does this is Apricot, who has been working mostly in other areas and projects recently.

I'm not doing this job to make friends, I'm really doing it because I really like BHW and I want to make it better. If I walk into the office at 8am by the time I leave at 5pm the forum has to be a better place in some way or something has gone drasticly wrong.

You would think at $30 a thread there would be pressure on me to approve as many of these as I can so that me being at BHW brings in money right? There is no such pressure.

Not once have I been asked to just let a thread slip or be approved when it shouldn't be or even get a thread "moved up the queue" as such. The owners really do give us total freedom to do what we like regarding marketplace threads.

The only thing that matters to me is doing a good job, letting good services sell and knocking back bad services. I don't care if I upset people or if they offer me bribes... If they don't deliver what they say they can they are going to get rejected.

Like I said last week I knocked back a thread which belonged to a well known moderator... No one gets a pass without a full review.

@t0mmy was asked to deliver $5500 or so of guest posts last week before we approved his latest thread, he has been selling on here for a long time and has a flawless record. Like I said, no one gets a pass.

The fact you want to run this review thing is fucking awesome, do it. We totally encourage all reviews if they are positive or not (they just need to be honest and true). The fact you have said you are doing it might be enough for some sellers to pick up quality, who knows.

I don't know if your reviews are worth more than anyone elses in truth. I really doubt it, funky badge or not.

Everyone should review these things

I don't think it's a secret that a new marketplace is on the way, which will probably help solve these issues but until then I guess my message to everyone is we put a lot off effort into only approving threads which deserve it. If you buy something, why not review it and it's good that we can discuss these things in the open.

A lot of forums would not allow this

Why are you working so hard man! Fake usernames & all!
If working hard for the welfare of BHW is what you want then go and try being a moderator.! Be a legit reviewer!
I saw that BHW needs more moderators!

I personally would like a tab at the top of the sales page that just leads to everyone reviews, this would be really handy especially if a sales page is 100+ long. You see sellers copy pasting the best of the best reviews, but you never see the negative ones posted, so you have to trawl through pages and pages of 'please send me a review copy' before finding the information you want. When posting a review a customer could easily tick a box that says 'review' and that gets shifted onto the review tab. Would be easy for us then to judge a seller, and give the seller to respond and maybe improve their service.

P.S. I know that you can do a search in a thread for 'review' but not everybody uses it in their review posts.

As for seals of approval, here's mine ;)

I am not sure about the seal (Although sexy as it is) but I like the idea of the second thread for reviews only. That would really make it easy to see what has been going on. Kind of like an amazon review of the BHW market place or something. Easy sorting by reviews.
Sounds like a lot of work, but who knows might come around and would definitely make it easier to buy services if I didnt have to do background checks off-site and what not. (probably still would, but I am paranoid)

Yeah, well I didn't mean to add more work to myself. I just meant to help everyone out since I already use a large majority of the content providers on here.

Positive aspect of your thread is that maybe sellers would increase their quality of content for a review by reputed members. But this is what they generally do! Every seller tries to provide nice quality not just to the moderators for a review but also to the clients.because after all its the client who makes the seller earn money! And review of every buyer counts just as yours. The stamp wont make much difference buddy. Still all the best with whatever your plans are.:)

It probably wouldn't be too hard to implement in the coding, on a BST where you have the post reply button you could have a post review button as well, and this just injects an bit of code (marker) into the post, and on the tab side of things, you just set it up when you click the tab it searches for the injected piece of code and filters out all the other posts. I'm sure BHW could jump onto Fiverr and find someone to do it ;) :D

have you bought content recently? i can tell you its pretty grim out there....
I myself write content for hundreds here on BHW, very good content actually. My point is simple, I don't think people should be using badges as a form of certification. Every other member could just make their own badge as well, then pretty soon people would start selling these badges to the content sellers. It's just a shady idea from the jump, every member already has the opportunity to leave a detailed review in any thread they order. What is the point of badges and guru nonsense? Easy this guy has an ego and thinks his reviews are more important than others.

Tell me about it, I have been testing a lot of writers recently and found one good one on BST and two on Fiverr. Just ordered 120 odd articles of the BST one and use the Fiverr sellers for the occasional bit of extra work. Trust me when I say I had to go through a lot of badly spun content just to find three. I'm starting to believe that the term native English writer must have a different meaning to what I think it is. ;)

What qualifications do you have?
What university are you a professor of English at?
If you are just any ol' joe who is on a crusade then i'll stick to actually reading comments on the sales thread.
Your " Badge " has no authority, so in effect completely worthless.
So you are going to effectively scrutinize every content writing sales thread and then write a review and award or not award a self promoting " Badge "
We have no guarantee that you are even reading the content you get, you may just read the sales thread and make it up as you go along.
I for one will just ignore your " Badge " and continue to read before i make any orders.
BTW i love the " Content Approved by Josh Macdonald ", a bit full of yourself there

You wanna tell me you are unable to recognize crap content against quality content since you are not a professor ?
Maybe you should change work to McD
i was actually talking about what gives him the authority to use a " Badge ". Seems you misunderstood my point

This whole thread is a cluster f*&k. Listen, we can argue about this till our faces are blue but we are not going to change anyone's minds. I think the mods do a great job for free btw. If anyone wants to leave reviews on threads do so but don't use a badge. This whole thread is out of hand and its getting now personal for everyone. We are from all parts of the world with one goal. The goal is to make money and to enjoy chatting and meeting each other instead of proclaiming I can piss further then you etc. I guess I have mellowed with age, but at least try to not piss off or devalue others as you should be more worried about your time and projects. BTW this is not my final draft and my writing sucks :)

says it all... seriously Josh, drop it!

So you need authority to create a review stamp ?You know its a free world where you can create everything you want.Creativity is the main source of human beings being so great.
But maybe you can explain to us why you claim he needs authority to create a review stamp and why he is not allowed to create one without authority ?
Fulltime IM marketers are so great and independant cause they dont accept any authorities

Seriously?? Please tell me you gone full retard, only worse then the O.P ?!?!

It is not going to work...
Since you made this public, sellers will know now about your intention and will try to deliver the same quality as they did when they were reviewed.
