Hi, guys:
I'm traveling to Mumbai in a couple of months. Part business, part pleasure. I'll be there for at least two months.
I've never been to India and I'll like to:
- get to know the city (I know it's huge tho, 12,5 millions!)
- meet good developers for a startup I'm... well, starting
- eat and have fun.
If a fellow blackhatter wants to meet, drop me a PM.
Furnished apartments can be expensive in Mumbai. A 2 BHK in South Mumbai can easily set you back by $2-5k depending on the area, the same in western suburbs would be $800-1.5k. Eastern suburbs are comparatively cheaper though, costing about $500/month. Bangalore, the climate is good, and yes it is the silicon valley of our country. But you won't find the nightlife you will get in Mumbai. Living in Bangalore is comparatively cheaper, will cost as much as the eastern suburbs in Mumbai. Apart from the rent, everything else is slightly more expensive in Bangalore (marginally). If you're looking for FUN, I'd suggest Mumbai. The cost of hiring people could be same, if not higher in Bangalore.
But I don't look Indian. I'm gonna get busted anyway. Hahahahah!7) Wear clothes so can mix in the crowd if they find you are not an Indian they will usually charge you more for any item you buy.
