Does anyone know whether syndicating my blog posts via ifttt to tumblr, google plus, faceboo, linked in, etc. would help or hurt my site's SEO? This would certainly be an easy way to get T1 content out quickly but it would in essentially be entirely duplicate content. It seems to be a common practice but I dont want to cripple my site.

Any advice would be much appreciated.:)

anyone share a little wisdom with the newbie? I assume lots of businesses publish content from their website to their social pages, facebook, google plus, linkedin, and such. I would think syndicating your sites original content would be a good thing, but I wanted make sure.

thnx

I don't know too much about syncing it with a blog, but it hasn't hurt my traffic when linking through pinterest to various other platforms, other than twitter. I noticed the ifttt link they attach to the post deters a lot of sharing and post interaction

Yeah it's a nice way to make things easier for yourself.
If you're sharing long links, IFTTT will shorten it automatically.
Now, they say it doesn't matter in SEO, but you can easily switch that off when you go to your IFTTT profile.

As far as i know it never hurt my SEO before, it's only making it better.

They will help, but as long as they're nofollow, don't build a tier2 to them or something like that... that won't help.
