If anyone has a free moment, could you review my blog? I would just like to see if i am on the right track with all of my efforts. i'm only getting between 5-25 views per day on average. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Thanks in Advance!

the site is called Shiba's Dog Days and it's on blogspot. Your review would be greatly appreciated. i don't have enough posts to pm or i would send you the link that way.

Thank you so much. The background has been updated, and i'll work on the ads in just a little bit. And skywalker, i can't pm due to insufficient post count.

looks nice. smooth. i like the fact you have videos on there. thats always going to capture the attention of any dog lover =]

the url is shibasdogdays.blogspot . i still can't pm due to insufficient post count, but that's slowly getting better. i got a decent little traffic spike today (47 page views), but average is still only around 10 views/day. i've been doing quite a few things to increase traffic, but most of it hasn't shown on my incoming traffic sources.

not a big of the centered text in every article, tougher to read

I find the text hard to read also. Don't be afraid to make the fonts larger, and the background lighter, for better contrast. Same with the site background, make it softer. Remember you want an easy experience for the end user.

Yes, twitter is definitely on the agenda, but current improvements to the page and other social bookmarking sites have all of my time accounted for. I have updated the post background and the sidebar background colors to create a bit more contrast, and it definitely helps the readability. i've started working on blending the ads as best as possible without making them easy to overlook. Backlinks have been helping a lot with bringing in traffic from areas other than the US as well as increasing traffic overall. I've also gotten a few organic clicks to the adsense and amazon affiliate ads, which is definitely a step in the right direction. I will be making the fonts all a bit larger, but that's a project for tomorrow, as i'm finishing the scheduled post and heading to bed. Night shift makes things slightly difficult in a small town. :/

Well you could get your posts up and continue to ask people in the forum to look at and get a nice little traffic spike...? All jokes aside good that you have videos on there that will definitely catch peoples attention. I am curious though what type of offsite promotion are you doing if any?

lol. I'm currently sharing posts via facebook. I also have the blog posted on Stumbleupon and Technorati. It made the top 100 pets blogs just yesterday. I'm going to get a twitter account up sometime this week, and i'll probably get a digg or reddit set up too.

Better formatting and some tips and tricks type posts should help you. Also get some backlinks.

I use indexkings and usually do 500+ backlinks per day and closer to 1000 on most days. I've changed some of the formatting, and i'm going to do a little more updating when i get some free time.

Ok, I'm assuming this is the right site: http://shibasdogdays.blogspot.com/

THE GOOD:
I thin there are two ways of getting loyal readers, one is looking like a non professional blog, and the other is looking professional so yours fits the non professional category. You look like a guy that just loves Shiba's so that's good.

TIPS
I would suggest to play around with ad placement and color. I could suggest 100 different ways, but I never believe anything or rule anything out until I try it and it doesn't work. So switch up, let the ads run for a few days, switch again and again until it's right. I literally through trial and error increased my adsense from .03 to .3 by just changing placement and color. (BTW that's still a low CPC but it's on a Celeberity Gossip site so the traffic is untageted) On your blog looking at the ads that are showing now you should be over 1% somewhere between 1%-5%

The second tip is to get rid of the Amazon block. Put a Jpeg of the product that you are reviewing directly in your site and just link to amazon. Or say - "Amazon has them on sale with free shipping" in our verbiage and it doesn't look like you are trying to get a sale. It looks more like you are trying to help.

Also I recommend putting a picture in every post. Remember people are going to be arriving via your inner pages not your front page. They will land on http://shibasdogdays.blogspot.com/2012/07/power-walking.html The average surfer has ADD so give him a little something to look at, even if it's a hot chick in an exercise outfit walking her dog. Make it small but give them a little something.

I think it's a good start.

Good Luck
