Hello dear members of BHW,
Just recently I have started using one of digital goods selling platforms out there in the market. You know - creating account,
then creating shops and adding virtual products. Then I just checked whether these product links are being indexed by Google and saw that they are not.
So I made a conclusion that those digital products are being promoted on various social media channels, messaging platforms, forums, etc...
The key idea is that every digital product listing could provide valuable source of information for IM marketers regarding niche that is in demand right now,
especially when combined with number of feedbacks. So marketer could gather list of potential niches and use them later on while researching: checking the competition or smth.
So the idea would sound like specificed search engine for those digital goods selling platforms:
but it seems that they input those product listings by hand or let general public (shop owners) enter them themselves.
I would do that completely differently - I could use general web crawling to extract those product links and aggregate them.
What do you think of this idea:

P.S. I am not sure if it is allowed to enter URL's of those platforms or the close existing website I've discovered so I have omitted them.

especially when combined with number of feedbacks. So marketer could gather list of potential niches and use them later on while researching: checking the competition or smth.
So the idea would sound like specificed search engine for those digital goods selling platforms:
- You type in the keyword in search bar and get list of matching products
- Rich sorting, filtering capabilities (for instance sorting by number of feedbacks)
- Each product listing description would be analyzed by NLP topic detection algorithm to assign extracted topic or list of topic keywords
- New product listings section with newly discovered products (hot, trendy niches)
but it seems that they input those product listings by hand or let general public (shop owners) enter them themselves.
I would do that completely differently - I could use general web crawling to extract those product links and aggregate them.
What do you think of this idea:
- Do you think it has some market demand? Would marketers use it?
- Do you think it is possible to monetize such specificed search engine?
- Would it be legal in terms of law?
- Searching for specific cheapest digital product in the market
- Analyzing niche ideas - bots, programs, accounts selling services, etc... (for IM'ers)
P.S. I am not sure if it is allowed to enter URL's of those platforms or the close existing website I've discovered so I have omitted them.
