Many Internet giants fail to generate profits, whilst they spend staggering amounts on top management,
Pinterest, Reddit, Twitter for example all have been mostly loss making entities during their operational period as public company,
Reddit for example posted 500 Mill loss in previous quarter, while keep in mind, millions are being pumped in by google.
Not that easy, Mr. Musk is struggling to get twitter to green zone, let's see

Adsense is low hanging fruit and requires almost no effort on the end of the one who is profiting.
No effort to get paid and that usually results in wasting an opportunity that could be much more profitable because they are playing PS5 games.

It's not just the top management, its also being based in cities with a higher cost of living.
Relocating to From San Francisco, CA to Knoxville, TN, would be a 40% reduction in Salaries, 45% reduction in energy costs and 64% reduction on office rent

Not sending the message when someone hits Enter was the worst design decision. Maye they changed that in the last 20 years but that was almost unforgivable lol

User friendly is so important when providing a service and they missed that memo in that aspect of the service.
If I had the time I'd contact them and see if I could buy their assets and then put them to good use but time trumps the opportunity in this case for me.

The problem with such thinking is that if you think in "month - to - month" metrics, you're just gonna be like "this month $10k, next month $11k".
How about seeing 5 years forward? That's what these companies do.
And I believe they have a plan of their next steps. They're not going anywhere like people think.
Factually it's close to impossible for them to collapse in less than a decade or so.
And if they do, someone will revive or transform into something else.
They have so much money and so many stakeholders, and investors, it's like hydra with many heads.

I also remember some people would be on AOL or MSN so that I would use Trillian, but I see it's now used for something else. It's incredible how far we have come with technology since the early 2000s.

I remember this classic. It was called "gadu-gadu" in Polish which rhymes like "chit-chat".
Edit: these communicators were dating solutions back then. But I was so young that I couldn't even commute to other cities once I spoke to some people.
And dating at 12 years old... it's a disaster. Wouldn't recommend to my children if I had them to date at that age. My mistake to try at that age.
