Realistically I think even an old name like ICQ would struggle in this day and age, there is a lot more competition than just mIRC.

I'm not gonna lie. AOL was the shit back in the day.
Being forced by my mates to use ICQ for UO was simultaneously a dark and wonderous time.

on the start it was used by many people (including me) as a hookup app. it had really good search options. many good memories
after that i stopped using it for years, until people from seo business started asking me to use it for deal negotiations. i was surprised how its purpose changed
