I think my group has been shadowbanned.

So I have a facebook group with about 3k members. on average, daily active members were around 1000-1500 people, since a few days ago (Jan29) that number first dropped to 140 and then 100 and has been going down since. (See screenshot below)

Now i would say that my group just started to suck, but then it should have been a gradual decline and not a complete fall like that.
I did a little test with my buddy , and if you share a post from the group, it will show up as "X shared a post" on other peoples newsfeed and then doesnt actually show what you shared. its just that text.

I researched a little, but i couldn't find anything relating to group shadowbans on Google.
So, I took my friends recommendation and came to you guys, any ideas on what I should do?

Thanks in advance and sorry if this has been asked before.

The only one way I would like to suggest you. Increase helpful posting on your Group. Also, you can run some paid campaign for your Group so that you can get some new members regularly.

I noticed an insane engagement decrease in my 50K fb group last year around November and I sold it. Can’t deal with this BS.

Hmm, thanks, I'll see what i can do. Although it's not really new members I'm looking for, its just that the people who were active used to enjoy the content and the shadowban or whatevers happening really fucked it up.

Yeah, I might have to resort to that, what would you say is a reasonable price (in terms of dollars) for a 3k member group ?

Hmm can't say, but somewhere between 50 and 100 dollars i'd say. It depends on the engagement tho, if it's high you can go for more. I sold mine for $1200 cuz it was in a specific niche targeting a specific country and there were not much buyers (I got contacted by the buyer).

Facebook has been making algorithm changes to group notifications. When that happens to your group, members are only sent what Facebook calls "Highlights" and are no longer sent a notification for every post. This is why engagement is decreasing significantly. I received a notification from Facebook late last year that explained this.

This is happening to both small groups and really large groups.

Well facebook wants you to buy ads so they fuck you

Wow, alrighty, thanks a lot, i'll keep that in mind.

To everyone else: Thanks to you too, I'll give my group a week and see what happens if its still fucked, I'll probably sell it, thanks for taking your time.
