I Think I've Converted to White HAT SEO ... HELP

Hey ladies and gentlemen of BHW,

I've finally left the dark side.

My previous strategy was to write one article a month, then spend weeks doing Black/gray hat SEO on that article.

Now I'm writing 1 article per day (1,000+ words) on very low comp keywords.

Only 1 in every 5 articles will have affiliate links.

Instead of going for quick sales, I'm going to go for an authority site.

Wish me luck guys.

I'll continue updating my thread with my progress.

Good for you! I don't think BH was ever meant to be long term. The money created, should always been invested into something that can be scaled and (possibly) sold later on.

I kept my hand in the fire too long and got burned at one point, it's good you've found a new path.

Best of luck with your WH journey. This probably should be moved to the journey area if you're planning on updating regularly. Something like Shaunm's journey would be amazing, though be prepared for the questions:

1) How do you do your keyword research?
2) Do you have a template for your articles
3) Do you outsource? If so, to whom?
4) I'm sure plenty of other questions like that.

Good seeing focusing on whitehat ! i'm also thinking to switch to whitehat, it is a bit hard but good for long term

Definitely agree with this. BH is great for getting some quick cash but if you want to make long term money then you want to look at building up the organic traffic you're getting from well-written content that provides benefit to your readers. You also don't want to spend ages working to build something up then Google realise you've been up to no good and penalize you

yeah the reason I didn't switch before was because I didn't have the budget to keep buying content but I decided to man up and just start writing myself.

Plus im getting faster. A 1,000-2,000 work article now takes me 2/3 hours from an empty page to a full, well-written SEO optimized article.

That's a pretty good speed. What I've done is start to build out a template that I can use. I'll then do 30 minutes to an hour research on the topic adding bullets to the appropriate section in the template and then use the rest of the time to start building that out writing up what I need.

One thing I have heard that can help you get content written faster is to use Grammarly but not correct your work until you've finished and then correct the whole thing in one go. I've not managed that, I'm drawn to the red lines to correct them

Yeah I've heard a lot about the template strategy. Will defiantly look into it.

I write a few hundred words then I go back and correct
