Ok Google KW is awesome. But when I hit the Exact button, why do a bunch of other terms come up? Example: Say my word is "sports" When i search "sports" in Google KW with Exact button it doesnt just give me the searches for "sports", it give me all keywords with other words as well, like "sports news", "sports shoes" etc....... Doesnt EXACT mean EXACT? Shouldnt Google Kw just give me the results of "Sports" and not anything elsE?
I mean eventually I find the EXACT word I was searching for but it just seems silly to have EXACT checked and a bunch of other words come up
"Exact" is the match type, so it is returning results for that exact phrase matches with the words you specified. That's how the tool is intended to work.
Exact is in relation to how many people search for a keyword by typing in that keyword in google search. It does not mean that google will only show you keyword with the keyword "sport" in it or what ever your expecting. If you want only keywords with "sport" or any other term then make sure to press the "Only show ideas closely related to my search terms" like jetti said.
Yeah the exact means that it will only show you how many searches are being made with only that keyword in the search bar. Without exact it will include all variations of it, e.g sports is fab, or sports reviews, these will all be added together and added in if you don't click exact.
