I stepped out for the first time since March

I was planning to move to city life... NYC was on the list. Because I loved socializing, night life and the bustling city life.

Now... I want to live in the country, on a farm, away from people. The pandemic has really shown many people's true colors of stupidity.

Let's not talk about the crazy part when people come close to you like they want to kiss you or something and they are not wearing a mask.
 
It is a different world now and will be for a long time but things change and should. Whether the requirements of masks, social distancing etc are good or bad I cannot comment as I just don't know enough but here are a couple of examples of life here.

Grocery store - masks are required in all of them in my area.
Big Box stores - masks as well + they can only allow a certain amount of people in at a time.
Most places have round graphics on the floor as a mark for the 6 foot required social distancing.
Buy gasoline and pump yourself? Rubber glove on per the boss.
Went to a new doctor yesterday and they temperature checked everyone even if they were just there with the actual patient.

We can complain about it, mumble under our breath about it, whine about it but that is the way things are and fighting it makes no sense.

If you have ever swam in the Ocean and got caught in a rip current you do not fight it, you go with it until it "releases" you and then you work your way back to shore or wave down a boat.

We are in a rip current as to the requirements for this and the smart thing to do is to not kick against the goads but go with it until we get released from it.
 
The thing is, from WHO to governments, they are trying to handle the situation in a way which is taken negatively by the majority of the people. They should have made a law for every citizen to wear a mask no matter what. The punishment for not wearing a mask should have been badass. I think this law alone would drastically decrease the spreading of the virus.

I had to bring my wife a few weeks ago to emergency room. The issue I had and everyone else is we all had to stay in parking lot. We were not allowed to be with our loved ones in emergency room. The parking lot looked like we were tailgating for a football game. it was a lot of people outside sitting in cars( you could hear the candy crush sounds) and just wondering around.
 
each has its own path. when you don't know what awaits you around the corner. will it be a car or a covid. in general, we are our own enemies and friends
 
Well... in Sweden I see like one person per day wearing a mask and here's our stats;

Never locked myself or my family, my kids go out daily, my son goes to school, we don’t wear gloves and masks.

For the places where I have to wear one - I ordered one with satan.

I was sitting at home for 2 years. In March I started daily job. Since then, I'm meeting a lot of people on a daily basis and I have visited many places. No virus, no symptoms, nothing. Life's good.

I live in Sweden.
 
I am in spain.. we had it pretty bad here and our lockdown was extremely full on with army on the streets etc

Now we have returned to relative normality.. masks are a must now in public unless you are eating or drinking or in your car with family.. any other time now you MUST wear a mask. No big deal really.. I’ve been in Ibiza the past 2 weeks, different vibe here compared to other years but it’s still good and I’m still having a good time.. albeit a lot more chilled than normal years lol
 
In the UK things are unclear. You go to some places and you'll be looked at like a dumb fuck for not wearing a mask. In other places you'll be looked at like a dumb fuck for actually wearing one.

Like yesterday I go to pick up some food from a very busy shop on a very crowded street and not a single person was wearing a mask except me and one chinese guy I saw. Why was I wearing one? Because it was the exact reverse situation during the day :confused:
 
Yep, I noticed only around 50% of people were wearing masks when out food shopping yesterday.

2nd wave in UK looks inevitable.

Where do you go food shopping. I got refused entry to Morrison's because I wasn't wearing a mask lol
