is there a plugin that will help me upload massive amounts like this to my blog? right now im limited to posting one post at a time, I don't want to use the default gallery .

You can try "YAPB Bulk Uploader" plugin or "Image mass upload wizz" plugin.

IF I do it via Ftp and chose them all will it be all one post or multiple posts? and ill try those plugins
